Re: Your fleet running reports

I see plenty of Disco 5s but they have been sold for 9 years and I live in the shires, prime territory for them.

Re: Today’s want

Apart from the ND3 not yet being tunable by BBR, I have no desire to alter a fairly new car which is already fast enough. There's something about the way the Jag V6 fits in the mk1 and mk2 which appeals.

Re: Today’s want

I like it but at £29k it’s not very appealing. I prefer the Rotrex route, only up to 300bhp but DIY friendly and looks OEM+

£29k includes suspension and so on I think. The basic stage 1 engine is under £7k+VAT, so there's labour obviously in it too. I'd like to know a bit more about what you ...

Re: Randomness

Weirdly it was only for the Panamera 4S e-hybrid; the Panamera Turbo e-hybrid configurator worked fine.

Re: Today’s want

The neatness of the installation is one big advantage I think - the Jag block is lighter than the original MX5 engine and mounted slightly further back.

I do really fancy one myself. I really need to have a drive in one to see if it pushes me into it - I'd probably want to find the most appealing ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

The diesel L460s are all straight-6 Ingeniums aren't they? I don't know what the reliability is like but the name Ingenium strikes fear into most of us due to the 4-cyl diesels.

You're right about depreciation. Apparently the average age of cars in the UK is now up to 10 years old, and cars 10 ...

Just tried the Porsche configurator and it looks like they've been burgled.

Accepting this is no biggy to many on the forum, I’ve now owned the Evora for <subdued drum roll> 10 years. It has therefore become my first ever DECADER . Is that even a word? Pixies song? :geek:

Marv is the king of long term ownership isn't he?

I owned my last MX5 for a month or so shy of 7 ...

I didn't win an E21 BMW 316 on Retroshite at the weekend. Not sure how much he actually makes from the cars he auctions but it feels like the odds aren't completely impossible.

I did enjoy that but I can’t see it being massively more reliable than the flexi-drive.

Re: Weekend toy £25k

£25K will get you into a nice 981 generation Boxster. Stick with the 2.7 and you have zero bore score worries or issues. Whilst an Elise is ultimately a more focused driving machine a Boxster gives a much better balance of driving and comfort/practicality. Hell, you can easily do a European ...

Re: The lawn mower thread

The more moisture the less well it chops up finely as far as I'm aware. Early in the year I have to collect the clippings or put up with clumps if I mulch. Now you can't see anything at all when mulching because the grass is quite dry.

Yes, just tax drugs instead like alcolohol and tobacco.

If the real thing has 23/24” wheels how big are the fantasy version’s? 😂

I don’t think people who bought a Taycan had buyer’s remorse due to how it drove or looked. There have been some technical issues I believe.

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal

The E39 did have a clever linkage on the longer wiper IIRC, so it extended a bit towards the corner of the screen. Bit lazy after engineering RHD wipers on the E34 though. De-contenting was a thing even 30 years ago.

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal

I’m assuming the same issue as the cybertruck, in drizzle / occasional wipe the blade pushes the water down then goes back to park and the water it’s just pushed down then drifts up the screen because aero.

Unlike a normal park at the bottom setup where you swipe the water away then park at the ...

Re: Ferrari Luce Reveal

If Johnny Ive had made a car branded 'Ive' or even 'Apple' some of the details would seem right. As a Ferrari it's utterly wrong. And whatever it is badged, I'd have a Lucid Air any time. Watching the interior stuff made me think of the Fisker Ocean.
