Re: That there London
I didn’t go to Camden but it’s probably as touristy as ever. I can spell St Pancras. Crossing the Euston Road at street level was always a pain so use a subway.

Re: That there London
I was in London last Tuesday. It was great - massive number of Lime Bikes parked up on Fenchurch Street but that reflects the ease of getting round by bicycle. Hearing sirens is something you get in any big city.

It’s an S8. Which I think is preferable. Though it is £5950 so has he out the price up?

That's serious criticism of Audi. Crazy that they don't recognise the value in supporting the enthusiast community long-term.
I agree. I guess my S6 Avant is probably not going to stay forever, just 15 years.
Audi UK sold off virtually all of their heritage fleet a few years ago which I thought ...

I thought the Countach and 911 were in jeopardy but that he wouldn’t sell them because he’s got that 80s supercar trio in red and that’s got to be a heart tug.

Re: Mountain Biking general thread
Had a first proper ride yesterday and a longer ride today on my new Orbea. The thing which really makes it compared to my old one is the way it corners and handles generally. When turning tightly on the old one, something about the geometry means it feels like it’s slightly unstable. I don’t find it ...

Had a coolant leak on the Boxster. Initial thoughts cross over pipes which is 700 quids. Turns out some fuckwit (me) didn't tighten the cap properly when topping it up. Been fine since I checked it was the more modern design one and actually put it on correctly. 😁
Why did you need to top it up ...

Two things.
1. How do I get one of these administrator jobs?
2. If this takes a year to wrap up won't the administrators have just taken any remaining money?
1. Generally, be an accountant and qualify as an insolvency practitioner: https://www.icaew.com/regulation/insolvency/understanding ...

Re: GVE London
Just read that GVE owned the building they were trading out of. Could that be sold and buyers reimbursed some cash that way?
They're in administration, but there's no realistic prospect of the business continuing so it'll end up being liquidated and the assets being sold with the proceeds ...

Re: Today’s want
That's been built to be used though; if I wanted a pristine Ur-Quattro to keep clean in the garage then I'd obviously want an original. This looks amazing and will be quick.
It's not a swb, Zed - it's basically an A1 Quattro rally build before the Sport was introduced but with a later engine.

Re: Today’s want
This seems relatively sensibly priced at £60k. And I'd love it, despite it not having a 5-pot engine. I think 542bhp would make up for that.

You should probably have gone for alloys with 12mm less offset to avoid her trimming them 😄
Look really good though.
I haven’t told her, as that would become the cause of the next kerbing…. :ugeek:

Two of the three, yes. Even the Freelander 2. But not the first RRS. Second one feels even more of a car a psychopath would drive.ZedLeg wrote: Wed Oct 08, 2025 12:56 pm I think that mid 00s era (disco 3, early L322 RR and RR sport) was a high water mark for LR design wise. They’re all a bit overstyled now imo.

I think that era Discovery (Disco 3) has aged very well but I can't say the same for the Sport. They're very common on the road, often look rough/badly driven and they're associated with the criminals in Line of Duty and generally with people who like dags and caravans.
