I take umbridge at your Peterboghorror reference, I think you'll find you were in Peterborough, next it's Peterboghorror and finally you hit Peterbosnia.
Shit news about the bike, it's such a scummy thing to do so fingers crossed the police actually work for a living and do something about it.

Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Thanks chaps, it is indeed very shitty.
I was sent some CCTV by a near neighbour today - two what looked like quads going past, then a few mins later, coming back one of them towing something large and black. It was 00:40 and crappy Ring footage so no real fucking use but I sent it on to the police anyway. Made me feel sick watching it tbh.
I'm hoping the insurance will pay out at least the trade-in offer after they've taken the £975 excess off, but we'll see. I posted the keys off yesterday so that's drawn a line under it for me.
I think it'll be a while before I dare leave it at hers again overnight, even though the new one has two locks and a tracker on it now. They are moving house in a couple of months so will have a garage to put it in overnight then.
Cunts.

Ugh this is so shitty and horrendous timing with the trade-in too. Sincerely hope the police can do something with all the evidence they've got and catch the knobheads.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Tim, I am not at all up to date on motorbikes. Is the 1250 preferable to the 1300? I assume new bikes don't yet have speed limit bongs and attention assist and so on like new cars. Yet.
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
To me it is, yes. I don't like what BMW have done with the 1300 iteration of the boxer engine, it's lost all it's soul and character. And the gearboxes are demonstrably worse. I've ridden the RS RT and GS examples of the 1300s now and didn't like any of them.Jobbo wrote: Fri Sep 04, 2026 12:26 pm Tim, I am not at all up to date on motorbikes. My bike has adaptive cruise control, and a speed limit display if you enable the connected ride, but that's about it. You can option front and rear random-brake-assist-me-into-a-ditch on the new ones, but its not mandatory thankfully.
Look at his little face collection pic (2nd slide)

I drove past there at lunch and another happy owner was zooming off, they seem pretty busy !

I think you have the smallest stomach of the three slides Tim - first guy looks like his is being held in by the leathers
Re: The Motorbikerist Thread
Know nothing about bikes but it’s a nice colour. Third guy really isn’t happy with having his photo taken
How about not having a sig at all?
