Midlands Curry 2026

Post by Matty »

Bit late this year, didn't realise we did the last one back in August with the fairer weather - it'll be October I suspect for this one, so those in convertibles may be rolling the dice this time around.

Sticking to same place?
Any suggestions for dates?

This is quite self serving as it's my fave restaurant in the area, but is Bewdley any good for people?

I'm happy to go to Bewdley. What is parking like - do we just use the big car park in front of the new medical centre?
Gavin and I talked about another curry and when we organised it last year there was a suggestion of a place on the Bromsgrove-Kidderminster road - the Chennai Lounge I think?
I've also seen recommendations for Spice Fusion which is on the A449 near Ombersley but I've never eaten there: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jhJAj2s2KHbbndAu7

I've heard good things about Chennai, but it's more local to Dan so he'll know more. I've eaten at Spice Fusion and it's on a par with Vhujon 😎

Yes parking by the medical centre is best in Bewdley.

Can I park my bike next to our table? If so I'm in.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

Chennai lounge was our local until we moved recently, great food but we never actually ate in there, only ever got it delivered.

I went to spice fusion, recall it was good but was 10+ years ago, probably 15. Adding the vhujon to my list if we dont end up there.

Happy to drive further if better for others, eg West Brom is good.

Shall we go with Chris's recommendation of https://www.vhujon.co.uk/ ? And has anyone woken up @Jimmy Choo ?

How's everyone fixed for Mon Sept 28th or Tue 29th?

I’d like to try Vhujon.

Will need to be no earlier than 12 Oct for me and I can’t do 15/16 Oct but am otherwise fairly clear the rest of the month.

I'm awake! What did I miss?

I can't do the monday as I'm out for a curry (no, seriously!) but could come out to play on Tues 29th September.

Very much so

I think the venue was decided on, I was just trying to get a date before the clocks roll back and the weather starts to turn.
17th?
21st?

I could do either but 17th is a Saturday so maybe that’s awkward for some?
