Re: Your fleet running reports

I never really understood this concept, if I could have it back without cost then I'd happily have my car back. e.g. the RRS in the thread above - it needed £17k of repairs, it would never be the same. If I was in that situation I would have preferred that it had "disappeared". obs I woul...

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lincolnshire-69056052 Battle of Britain memorial flight spitfire has come down in Lincolnshire, killing the pilot. Yeah, hundreds of millions of pounds spent, no one sent, countless lost legal cases and the best they've had is a "rumour" that some illegals aren't crossing into NI because the threat of going to Rwanda. Thats the best lie the Tory's could come up with. It's not been a policy that has wo...

Re: Your fleet running reports

I found a 2017 Range Rover price list. A couple of slight surprises: Electric towbar was only £985. Seems like a bargain. Electric side steps were £3,270  All in all, it's probably depreciated about £1k pm over its life. Which doesn't sound too bad tbh. Sounds about right - I wonder at what ...

Re: The House Projects Thread

Yes - but the definition of "High Net Worth Individual" often takes into account income as well as net assets. In truth, a real "High Net Worth" individual as we would think of them is a combination of the two. Lots of elderly people have enormous net assets as they bought a hous...

Re: Your fleet running reports

My wife's Macan had its first oil change today. I posted that on 9 Feb. Just booked its second oil change in June. Crikey! Moving house may have cut the mileage I'm doing down a bit but it's increased the Macan's. And that won't do 50mpg; I am not sure it's ever done 30mpg in her hands. And this is...

Re: The House Projects Thread

It is helpful in some respects though - when I was taking out finance on the 911, as I fitted into that category they basically don't need to worry about whether a regulator thinks I can afford the loan, only their own risk analysis. Although somewhat of a double edged sword as loans above a certain...

Re: The House Projects Thread

We had exactly the same problem. Three suggestions: - Speak to @Holley on here - Try looking for High Net Worth home insurance, because the insurers tend to be less 'computer says no' - we ended up using HomeProtect - Try the Meerkat for non-standard homes: https://www.comparethemarket.com/home-ins...

One of our families' favourties. My 8 year old demands we go for breakfast each time we're up in Oxford

Kioku sounds good.

We recently went for the Beijing roast duck at Imperial Treasure - would recommend but need to try Min Jiang as well at some point.

Every day's a school day.... "Sorry, we can't offer home insurance as your home was originally built in 1800." "Why?" "Don't know". "What year can you insure houses from?" "1801"..... Do you categorically know your house was built in 1800? If not it...

How have you managed that  My highest in the last 300 journeys (you can download this data from the app as an excel :ugeek: ) is 35.5 but then again I usually start or finish in congested city traffic. I think the 911 is capable of very similar fuel economy. Do you know if the pre-facelift V8 ...

Also, where's the autotrader link to SJ's Bentley? It's on ebay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/296429776509 Slight back story. I bought it for £9k last March , the seller didn't tell me it was Cat N, and I didn't check, so that's partly on me. It was provisionally sold @ £7500, I changed the front air...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Actually it’s interesting to compare to the Bentley. I was slightly surprised that the a-pillars in the RR are just coloured plastic. The Bentley has leather, it’s leather *everywhere*. Yours is an Autobiography isn’t it? I thought that would mean alcantara headlining and pillars at least. The RRS ...
