Re: The AI Thread

Likewise I use Claude to adapt existing code in Python or Matlab to my own data and needs. Works well. Not as good at writing code de novo, and I think you do need to have a little bit of code knowledge to bug catch and a little bit of domain knowledge to know if it is actually doing what it says ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Tesla wall charger, at 3 years of age, seems to have packed up. £475 for a new one. Debating getting an electrician out for a look first to see if there is anything fixable vs just buying a new one.

What’s it doing? Google suggests a couple of issues might be an electrician needed

Blimey, good spot on the silica water absorbtion. My old 987 had issues with trapping moisture and I don't know if it is just the way the hoods are as they age and the thing needs to be garaged, or if it's a loss of tension somewhere.

I ...

Interesting. I might ask to closely scrutinise the service history and the basis for the no bore scoring claim before tripping to Southampton.

Re: Today’s want

Had a chat. It's in Southampton which is a fair distance so wouldn't be able to go until weekend after next - if it goes before then, it goes I guess.
The owners sound like proper porsche geeks (also owning a GT3 and 981) and it looks like the care has been pretty meticulous.

I love how it ends with you almost being run over by a Skoda Roomster!

Thanks everyone so much for coming. I had a great time, and am still buzzing. We must do more!

Re: Your fleet running reports

It should be noted that this put the 360 in Limp Home mode just as Gavin exited a motorway.

I’m not entirely sure what caused it. I strongly suspect it’s just being Italian and is jealous of the attention I’ve given to the M5. It also had a bit of a gearbox paddy the day I first went to view ...

That yellow looks slightly golden in the photos but I think it looks even better in person. Really love how you have the car.

My only sadness is being a bit too far back to really hear the voices of the cars. No matter the car, everyone could bloody move when the road allowed it!

Funny story - I figured I'd drop a line to that specialist to see if they could put me in touch with the good owner. I have copies of the invoices but the owner's details are redacted. Turns out the specialist is dead, after a short illness in March.

In Mysterious Circumstances .

ETA - more importantly I presume the 360 is not in bits for Gav to use on Sunday and are you coming along? I presume the Aston needs another run out…

Funny you should mention it, the 360 was up in the air today because I was wondering why the undertray is full of oil 🤣

Biggest question though, did anyone recognise Gavin off the telly?

He wasn’t carrying a camera on a stick around so I don’t think any influencer fanboys spotted him.

He was! He wandered around the car park making all of us into content.

I have reviewed my dashcam footage and sadly ...

Great fun bringing up the rear of the convoy and seeing some serious speed held by the excellent metal ahead. And indeed the biker who became an honorary member of the group.

Great to put some faces to names (and indeed names to names) as well as a true appreciation of purple bmws. Nice chatting ...

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet

I can't remember (/be bothered to find the relevant page)... is there an itinery?
Meet up at C&M then head up the Kimbolton road was my understanding?
I might have to peel off at that stage as I need to head to Yorkshire for mum's birthday (sort of forgot about that).
