Re: Lotus Carlton 35yr anniversary
Also didn’t realise they made so many.
One of my mums friends husbands worked there when I was a child, I remember he brought me a folder of press photos / brochures including some for the lotus Carlton, and I did a school project on them 😄
Weird seeing the photos and videos of the gathering ...

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Shame he’s painted it black - the colour scheme was the best thing about it!
I think that was just a prep coat - he’s keeping the original colour AFAIK

Re: EV Thread
This has given me a thought- How’s it work for returning with regard to charge level? With an ice car you’d be expected to return with similar fuel levels, do they expect the same with the electric
They never mentioned anything

Re: Your fleet running reports
No just oil and filter. Looking at the invoice £150 of it was just the oil and a further £30 for the filter. That in itself is annoying as Eurocarparts sell the oil for £120 - why would a dealer buying in bulk pay over retail
Seems a shame they charge so much for labour but I guess ...
Re: EV Thread
Local Mini dealer was doing a special deal on older car MOTs so took son’s R50 Cooper in for the test. Went to drop it off the evening before with him ( as we both start work early ) so he could have a lift back and rather unexpectedly, without prompting, he got offered a loan car. Bit surprised as ...

You can get decent looking late 80s/early 90’s 2 door ones for around 30-40k, the performance will be 0-60 in about 4-6 working days but if you want a retro looking g wagon why pay over £100,000 more just to pootle around London at 25mph
My friend paid a fraction of that for his - he sends me ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
911 is back - clatter seemingly fixed which is nice after listening to that, most times starting it, for over a year.
I asked them to do an oil and filter change whilst it was there which they charged me an extortionate £670 for - if I did elective maintenance like that again I think it would be ...

I had no idea he owned one - only ever see M3 posts :?
Presume he still has his S2000 as well
I only found out he had an Esprit the first time I met him, so he must like keeping it quiet...feel like I've let the cat out of the bag here
I think it's a 4cyl Turbot rather than a ...

Re: Your fleet running reports
Cayenne has a big crack in the windscreen from a stone chip this morning. It's heated and has all the ADAS and active cruise gubbins in it, so I'm not expecting the insurance company's windscreen provider to be able to supply the right one but I'd rather go to the main dealer anyway. Looks like a ...

Hey Mike. It is indeed in inevitable, but condolences regardless.

What sort of powers is yours producing Mike?
Enough to make you pay attention :P
I’d say about 370 mik - it was under 1200 kg at the weigh bridge without a spare in the well

So about the ...

Fantastic! Was it a proper review by Harris or just a taster to whet his appetite?
And is he shorter than me? 😄
