Re: Grand Tour Series 3
Was thinking although it’s ended maybe, just maybe, they would do the odd special (e.g every other xmas). Considering their age and the amount of crew there was , who would obviously go on to do other things. It wouldn’t be so easy to put back together. Very good show but sadly that is the end.

Re: The Watches Thread
I recently saw on YouTube this guy who just bought watch parts off aliexpress and put them together and ended up with a very nice custom made watch for under £100.
I thought it’s a very novel idea and was totally unaware at how DIYable it all is - tempted to give it a go myself.
Do you have a ...

I did wonder why there’s been no content for the last 5 or so weeks. ‘Twas a good podcast, can’t see it being the same without ‘arris.

Re: Italian Poplar
Have been borderline obsessed with this substance since I first saw it. Crap building material as it’s not strong - burnt in the past as it was considered junk, but if there is a more beautiful wood - I haven’t seen it.
Had the option to get a poplar/resin table - which did look immense - but ...

I’ve always wanted a Caterham since about 6 years old. I’m 45 and quite rotund but will still get one. Not an expensive purchase but something I should have got years ago but literally life got in the way

Car for a new driver
I’m sure over the years this has been covered many, many times before. Son is 17 in July and I’ve been looking at cars to get. Looking at aygo, c1, 107. Was going to look an an aygo today but it sold yesterday morning. Any other suggestions?
Price around £2-£2.5k

Autosolos are forward only, autotests go backwards as welldinny_g wrote: Tue Mar 26, 2024 1:38 pm Yeah definately NOT road worthy - they were built for pure racing.
Is that maybe the difference between Auto-Testing and a Auto-Solo ? the need for the vehicle to be road legal ?
