Re: Break pads
Part manufacturers often have their own codes which bare no relation to the oe manufacturers part number, or whatever any other brand might use. Often eBay is the easiest place to search, some sellers will list the brands number as well as the oe number plus a shedload of compatible / equivalents in...

Re: No F1 thread?
Shame Max got punted out. Good job RB have a consistent 2nd driver ready to pick up the pieces when something like that happens. Oh… Thought it was quite exciting at the start, I guess maclaren were so confident that they were quickest by some margin they could afford to eat their tyres and race eac...

Re: Do you have locking wheel nuts?
X5 no
Mito no
Merc yes
Alfasud no
Compact no - but good luck getting them off with normal tools.
Tbh they’ll only slow an amateur down. Anyone who’s stolen a few sets of wheels in their time will get most locks off within seconds anyway.

Re: Trump
Lazy gits should have got up and smashed the place up, shit on the desks and beaten a few policemen, then they’d face no consequences

Re: Your fleet running reports
Looks like there are several versions on AliExpress, some have a screen which clearly sticks out a bit over the single din body, so wouldn’t work if the dash has a hole for the unit to sit flush in. Some look similar to the wallmart ones. I prefer age appropriate stereos in my cars, but tempted by o...

It was the e36 dash in one of their photos which sold it to you wasn’t it?

I enjoyed Pulp. Couple of moments weren’t all that sonically but Jarvis seemed on good form and the crowd seemed to be enjoying it too.
Obviously he (and we) has got older, but still seems crazy that different class was 30 years ago!

The centre stand on Will’s Aprillia SXR50 snapped at a shonky Italian weld. 2 weeks after the warranty ran out. :-| A bit inconvenient to say the least, 10 days to get the part from Italy via the dealer. https://i.imgur.com/CPQu00g_d.webp?maxwidth=1520&fidelity=grand Assuming it’s steel, if you...

Re: Glastonbury 2023
The first super grass song was bloody awful, but they did get better. Live music is always miles better live, even if they are a bit rubbish. I’ve only ever been to one actual festival but everyone I saw was great out in the sun, a few beers deep, even if I wouldn’t chose to listen to their sets at ...

Re: Glastonbury 2023
Had super grass on in the background last night, a few good grief that sounds awful moments, but meh, several bop along classics I can still remember word for word. I’m sure a lot of bands sound better when you’re there than on tv. Don’t really get the new look wet leg, music still sounds ok on the ...

The mrs asked if I wanted to go and see it. I said not really. Would probably end up just thinking everything was cheesy Hollywood bullshit
Will wait until it’s on tv

I’m not sure if he was playing up the doddery old man thing or it really is that awkward and unresponsive. I’m not really a fan of the back end, or the overly scooped out door tops, but looks like it drives and goes well and was surprised at the amount of space in the frunk. Don’t think being a v6 w...

It popped up on my YouTube the other day, huge fan of them and roadkill, but 2.5h looked a significant time investment so haven’t got round to watching it yet.

Re: Behold an almost free new electric car.
Have you seen how they’re built? The frame is thin box section steel that looks more like a 6th form go cart project. Then clad with wheelybin plastic panels. I mean, they’re quite cool but incredibly cheap and shoddy, I expect the battery and motor make up 99.9% of the build cost, and about a tenne...

I’m thinking of getting one of those little battery powered air duster / blaster things to push the water out of crevices. I think you’ll look like less of a mental using one of those for a minute than wheeling out a pet drier or full size leaf blower.

Nope.
I’d buy a damaged car to repair myself, but not sure I’d trust one someone else has done.
At least what he’s repaired is usually well documented which is an advantage over others!

Re: Your fleet running reports
Actually watched a review on quick detailers a few days ago, as I need to replenish my supply. The autoglym one reviewed well. I like a lot of their products to be honest, just decent no nonsense products that work well, can be a bit pricey so worth taking advantage of offers at Halfords, although I...

Re: small mugs
I’m surprised my mug held as much as it did, as mentioned earlier it doesnt look like it would hold a coke cans worth of liquid, nevermind a bit more.
I don’t see the point of a small mug, hardly seems worth the effort of making it if it’s over quickly.

Re: small mugs
My usual tea mug measure in at 360ml when filled to a normal brew level. Wouldn’t mind a little bigger, so maybe 400ml is the sweet spot.
