He is moving into a section of a unit shared with a friend who does proper restorations though. The video is a little misleading to start with, it’s only actually been 9 years since it last ran.

I really do think it’s about time he was brave and bought a welder though, would help with a lot of his mechanical tinkering over the years as well as the obvious fixing rust holes thing. Surprised Rtech haven’t offered him one as he’s got a decent following and seem them supply other YouTubers.

The car looks pretty solid all told tbh, just needs a scrub and soak in wd40.

It has been off the road since 1979 as it was apparently used on private land, but yeah, it was driven to where it was about nine years ago and that's reflected by how well the engine turns over.

And yes, Whiteland restorations IIRC, who seems to find Hubnuts shenanigans entertaining to witness, and I'm sure he's getting an income for the space too that would otherwise be sitting empty otherwise so it seems like a pretty decent solution - especially as Hubnut is planning, longer term, to move to Spain and needs proper storage of projects etc. But it does appear to just be storage, just better sealed than his current barn.

But yeah, by his standards, it's brave and probably a bit rougher than most things he's owned - inner sills look good though, engine looks solid, and it's definitely more interesting than some of the cars that have passed through his hands lately, which have been fine, but I think he likes to have something with a ropey carb hanging around.

Customer (heavily) modified UltimaRS effectively on shakedown tests following some very track-focussed upgrades.

Clearly rabid, but the comments section suggests that many have missed the above - hence their perception of the brand is (or remains) preeeety loooow.

Yeah - I had to watch back as it initially reminded me of the horrific Gilles Villeneuve crash video, but those are indeed bits of car. Assuming brake failure to arrive at the corkscrew with that pace
