Re: London Curry Meet

Thread bump.

An unforeseen complication means I can't do Tuesday. Should we consider rescheduling?

Sounds very American. Did dead bloke really hand over a collection like that without getting as much as a receipt? Sounds iffy.

I mean, I don’t have a huge salary, but if my mrs found out how much I actually spent on a load of old cars she’d probably go nuts 😅

I guarantee you that Mrs Nef couldn't tell you how many houses/flats we own. I'd be pretty surprised if she could even tell you how many are in *her name ...

Re: EV Thread

Just discovered another EV benefit: we hired a car (while the Zoe is broken), and got an EV. No need to charge before returning it. The saving over filling up with petrol was a nice, if ultimately minor, saving.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Called our local Renault dealer for prices on the window rubbers for the Zoe. They're a known issue. They expand over time and the clips don't hold them, so when winding the window up it pulls the rubber up into an arch that sits 15-20mm proud of where it should be.

Sh*t. I've just ordered a new aircon compressor for the Zoe, so will be about £manytensofthousands short. I could stick an M5 badge on the Galaxy, would that count?

That is a stunning colour, although it looks more red than orange to me.

Also proves, as if more evidence was needed, that estates are just cool. Obviously not quite as cool as an MPV, but close.

I wonder who she's got dirt on.

They've been fishy for years - her and Salmon(d).

As for not knowing what was going on - how the hell she even got in the house with the motorhome parked out front that she didn't see, the 108 bog rolls he bought, and the mountains of other shite.

Still find it interesting to see owners of 400/410's go back to S1's.....or saying in some way they preferred them. Faster/Harder isn't always better, it seems.

Yeah - @RobYob probably has some insights on that.

Later 4xx cars didn't receive as warm a response from the motoring press either ...

Re: Your fleet running reports

Zoe dropped with the EV mechanic this morning. He's just rung me to tell me the second-hand compressor he bought is full of dirt and he's sending it back. Whether that then leaves us having to buy a new from Renault (£1,300+) or we can find a better one remains to be seen.
