Re: Weekend toy £25k

When I started shopping for a new fun daily I put 20k into the autotrader budget, had to be rear drive but other than that I was open minded.

The choice was boxsters, caymans, s2000's, mx5's, z4's and the like but it was the abarth that caught my eye and I subsequently bought one after a test ...

Re: S1 Lotus Elise

Do you actually want an investment car or something you can use?

Mint low mileage S1's fetch a large premium because they are investment cars, so you can't use them if you don't want to lose your money. I look after a few sub 10k mile cars that basically do 50 miles a year to my workshop and back ...

The mfortobahn as Phill called it when I met up with him yesterday 😃

Two gears were used, 3rd and 4th.

Re: 60-100 Times

Can I submit for consideration a new category, 80 - 120mph.

I was on the m40 coming home from Bicester on sunday cruising along at 65 - 70 and Phil MGovern (caffiene and machine owner) passed me in his 912. He gave me a wave and thumbs up so I immediately regressed to my 18 year old self and ...

Lovely indeed, although I think you may need a bit more than the budget limit for this thread. :)
Has Dan not shared the exclusive OV9 discount code with you? Your post count might be too low.
I thought i'd sent it to everyone, sorry!

Cycling the ignition can often cure that, the needle resets a little closer to zero each time.

Re: Harry’s Garage

I guess the point is that with an assisted rack it takes much less effort to stop the wheel tugging as the car follows cambers whereas with an unassisted setup there would be more wrestling with the wheel. I agree that technically it may not be "doing it" more or less, but the effect is more ...

Re: No F1 thread?

Are GP2 cars doing the whole hybrid thing or are we going to end up with GP2 cars being faster than F1?

Having to coast at the end of the straights because the power is dropping off seems a pretty shitty form of motorsport however you dress it up.
