Re: Decent car YouTubes

Yep, they’re the only ones I have to use, the original fibreglass body was damaged during the creation of the moulds.

Are we allowed to post our own nonsense here? Popped to Donington yesterday for an evening session, had fun.

Re: Bedford Autodrome - 20th July

If you fill it any higher than the MIN line when its cold it'll spit coolant out of the cap as the bottle is too small for the amount of expansion in the system, its a bottle off a front drive rover car with 4 litres of coolant in the entire system, you've got more than twice that.

Its unlikely ...

Enjoyed that.

Harry looks less at home on a track than Robert de Niro did in Ronin 🤣

Re: Your fleet running reports

Bit of both perhaps, its calculated by speed and rpm and the thing changes gear so quickly there's an inevitable delay - first time i've ever noticed it though, you are not staring at the dash when you're pulling gears, but i've never known it to not be right when I glance down.

Re: Your fleet running reports

Went to Donington for a red flag strewn trackday, got reversed into and clipped by a novice while overtaking them but miraculously no damage either time. Other than that, had fun.

Tried out a new DJI osmo nano camera but mounted it a bit low on my helmet, will move it up a bit for the next one ...

Re: Weekend toy £25k

When I started shopping for a new fun daily I put 20k into the autotrader budget, had to be rear drive but other than that I was open minded.

The choice was boxsters, caymans, s2000's, mx5's, z4's and the like but it was the abarth that caught my eye and I subsequently bought one after a test ...

Re: S1 Lotus Elise

Do you actually want an investment car or something you can use?

Mint low mileage S1's fetch a large premium because they are investment cars, so you can't use them if you don't want to lose your money. I look after a few sub 10k mile cars that basically do 50 miles a year to my workshop and back ...

mik wrote: Thu Apr 30, 2026 10:07 am It's funny how you refer to that stretch of private road you were on, but that sounds priiiiitty nippy. Is that a single-gear pull, or you need to change up? And what gear(s?) were involved?
The mfortobahn as Phill called it when I met up with him yesterday 😃

Two gears were used, 3rd and 4th.

Re: 60-100 Times

Can I submit for consideration a new category, 80 - 120mph.

I was on the m40 coming home from Bicester on sunday cruising along at 65 - 70 and Phil MGovern (caffiene and machine owner) passed me in his 912. He gave me a wave and thumbs up so I immediately regressed to my 18 year old self and ...

Lovely indeed, although I think you may need a bit more than the budget limit for this thread. :)
Has Dan not shared the exclusive OV9 discount code with you? Your post count might be too low.
I thought i'd sent it to everyone, sorry!
