I shall!
In verdun right now but not stopping, already had accommodation booked in Nancy tonight.
Stopped at the big American cemetery just up the road, quite an incredible place.

Re: First hill climb today
The potential to have a huge accident there is enormous, it’s a miracle so many people get away with as much as they do.

Re: First hill climb today
That looks rather brisk, nice to see it getting used to its full potential
Are you planning on timing it flat out? Would be interested to see what it’s 0-100-0 would be
That was far from its full potential, it gets much more of a beating on track :D
A mate of mine has got one of those ...

Re: First hill climb today
PS. according to the on board data I did 0 - 60 in 3.7 seconds off the line, its fucking steep so i'm now intrigued to know what it'd do on the flat.
That was the first time i've ever launched the car, i've been too scared to break something before now so i've never tried.
None too shabby ...

Re: First hill climb today
Locked a brake over the line, its a tricky braking zone as the front end goes light over a crest but you're trying to shed as much speed as you can as there's barely enough room to get the car slowed down - evidenced by the s13 sylvia that ploughed straight on into the gravel at the top of the hill.

First hill climb today
I stumbled across food and fuel on insta a couple of weeks ago and decided to put an entry in for the hill climb they were running at shelsley walsh.
Never been up there before, or any other hill climb for that matter. I’d been meaning to get booked on one of the school days this year where they ...

Re: Plato Racing
Thats a shame, i'm mates with Dan Rowbottom and some of the behind the scenes stuff he's told over the years is eye opening, the pressure from sponsors and the like is immense. I hope they work it out.

That is lovely!
If it ever needs a new alternator don’t bring it to me, absolute knobend of a job that has to be done through a little hatch in the back seat

Re: Dan’s car
There were no Alpines, hence we had the track to ourselvesMatty wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2026 11:59 am I'm too poor/tight to pay for Evo these days, so hopefully the article arrives digitally as well for us paupers![]()
Did you get to drive the Alpines? Assuming the A390/A290 - can you be trusted with what much power?
Re: Dan’s car
Hopefully, he said he’d got some good stuff so I’m looking forward to seeing it, he must have taken a couple of thousand pictures
Re: Dan’s car
The cars a credit to you 😎
Dave!
It genuinely is, have you had any orders yet? You definitely deserve to have had.
Just one thought though, is it still forum convention to declare it a load of old tosh and offer to take it off his hands to save the embarrassment of him having to drive ...
Re: Dan’s car
It surprised me at high speed just how stable it is, for a car with no aero and a shape that we know produces lift at speed its absolutely rock solid - I was doing 150mph into the last corner according to the telemetry yesterday.
I do think the underbody is working though, there were some great ...

Re: Dan’s car
I concur
I don't get to hear it from outside usually so its awesome to hear it blast past, it sounds incredible in the flesh.
Mik - they seemed to like it a lot
Chris - I wondered about that as I was driving home, I might bring it up with them at some point.
