Spotted (probably FTAO Mark_BT52)

Post by Jobbo »

In New York last week, despite visiting two zoos the most interesting animal we spotted was not an exhibit. A black squirrel in the Bronx. My wife was not aware that they existed. She googled them to see how rare they are, and told me that they are actually very dark brown

While I elected not to have an argument about brown and black with her, it certainly looked properly black to me. Turns out they inhabit many of New York's parks. No photo because it was a bit too far away.
