Some fantastic pics there but really the SZ wins by some margin, doesn't it.

I've always loved the R5 GT Turbo wheel.

Rev is correct. I think I’m a bit of a traditionalist with steering wheels. Just give me a simple three spoke setup.

What’s that lever to the right of the R5 wheel?

What JL said.

Evora has the best wheel for any car i have ever owned.

Oversized airbag means it wont win any visual aesthetic awards, but it feels great and really encourages quarter-to-three hand positioning (which i was trained to do after years of favouring 10-to-2)

Library pic (from evo website, but not mine.... :? )

Absolutely this but I do like the crazy monospoke Citroen ones.

I like the French quirkiness of them but they look like they might snap off with a bit of mashing/sawing.

I sold it about a year ago. It ran properly for about a month after I bought it, but than refused to idle without a foot on the throttle. Lots of effort expended to try to fix it (new carb parts, new rotor cap etc) and lots of head scratching from the former chairman of the UK Matra club who knows these cars as well as anyone, but we couldn't get it to run properly. I eventually gave up, because to be honest it wasn't an exciting drive even when working - very comfortable and quite stylish, but a dull engine. So I sold it to a French chap for roughly what it owed me, and then lost most of that on a disastrous 450SEL 6.9 purchase... also now sold.

The above said, I did like the Murena's steering wheel! Other past favourite wheels would include the Countach (satisfyingly fat rim) and the Bentley Turbo R (delicately thin rim).

Bah!

Such a shame on the Matra, amazing design!
