If you are seriously looking at an R8 V10, Martin is selling his and it is a stunning car. IMHO.

Would love it, but I'm afraid Mik you've just engaged in the mind of Holley. It goes like this...

I like R8's, I've worked hard and deserve one. Wow they're cheaper than I thought, but I wonder what else I can get for £50k. 2 hours later and wondering if buying a 650s/italia is really viable I go back to R8's again. Then start working out the pro's (will be awesome, I might win OV9FCOTY, it could be an investment), then the con's (I park in a normal carpark and it'll get ruined, my wife will think I'm a twat, it will cost me a fortune in tax to take that amount of money out the business).

I then get all sensible and think I should just buy an investment property instead. Que everyone saying the market is going to crash and don't buy anything now. So I start browsing R8's again lol.

So the long and short of it is I don't know what I'm doing. You didn't ask, but I told the story anyway

S'alright. Just thought I would mention it. :) He had it up for private sale recently with no takers despite v keen pricing : and it is a superb example that does not get driven hard.

I've noticed quite a few R8's have been sticking lately. Wondering now if this R8's in general or if most sports cars difficult to shift at the moment?

Everything isn’t shifting easily, even those gold plated investment guaranteed 911 GT models.

FWIW, I'm in the process of selling mine. I don't know if you had something specific in mind, but for residential lettings I feel like the writing is on the wall. Governments of both persuasions seem quite keen to remove private landlords from the system. There's already been changes to the tax rules that specifically target private landlords while not affecting properties held by Limited Companies, and there is always talk of introducing licencing, which will be a load more cost & hassle. It's just going to get harder and harder.

The plan must be to move it all into corporate setups - i.e. their buddies.

Steve.
