Cars that don’t exist any more

Post by Orange Cola »

I was walking past a house earlier with a 14 year old Mazda people carrier thing on the drive, four flat tyres and covered in green slime. I thought to myself no one is going to bother going to the cost and effort of putting that back on the road and that got me thinking further. What cars used to exist but don’t any more because they just weren’t worth restoring or keeping?

Nope, you still get those at the occasional car club meet. They’re also the ones worth saving.

you couldn’t be more wrong - they all have an obsessive following - particularly GSI models.

Your figures again? The same set that said Jaguar couldn’t make enough x types to hit demand?!

Or figures show that parents with more than 3 kids are dumping one in the boot. Or that people have less sex now.
How about not having a sig at all?

I believe he uses the formula commonly used on Countdown to generate his base answer, one off the top and any other five. Insurance companies use it too.

Why doesn't he just post up his source and be done with it?

I don't understand anything.

Because his sources are Daily Mail articles banned from Wikipedia.

What are you on about ?

I said before that you don't see many Jag XE's about compared to the 3 Series and C Class.

Sources : common sense seeing them on the road, auction sales records, numbers advertised on AutoTrader, howmanyleft and http://carsalesbase.com/european-car-sa ... el-zafira/

i think you’ll find the exact words you used were:

“They couldn't make enough S Types, X Types and early XF's back in the day.”

Oh and the fact that Ford have dropped the B-Max and C-Max in favour of small SUVs, the same as Citroen/Peugeout, Mercedes changed the body type of the A Class years ago etc

Also SSMT figures show small MPV sales dropped 20% in 2017, whereas small SUV's grew at the same rate :

I stand by that : they were more popular back then.

Look at the figures of the X Type vs the XE.

Yep and it's utter BS. Jag didn't make a profit until very recently. If you expect me to believe a company still couldn't turn a profit when demand was supposedly out stripping supply then you think we're all a bunch of mugs.
