Amusing, correct font and spacing - I'll allow it.

It's just a shame you can't make "MUSK TANG" work on a UK plate.

If it had a Scooby Doo sticker somewhere it might work better.

I assumed it was just because it’s rust coloured.

The term Rustang is often used as one of the more sinister insults by other muscle car owners, because apparently Ford steel rusts more than GM/Chevy/etc steel does. Quite amusing to see someone has found that term on a plate 8-)

Edit to add: it'll probably become a meme if someone sends it over to a US muscle car page on FB.

The Muscle Car Owners Club (M.COC) must be a particularly Mad, Bad and Dangerous world.

RU57 ANG; undoctored looks good on the car, and probably cheap. 8-)

DR 11NUX; nope, I'll get a second opinion thanks, and I don't mean BO55 DOC or D12 8OSS

Remember this is American domestic market home boys who have never left their own country frothing at the mouth if anyone so much as looks side ways at their Dodge Charger or Chevy Camaro. The term Rustang will be chucked into a sentence which goes on about who's mother has the most teeth and if they've ever slept with their own sister so in fairness that's a highly intellectual term they've developed there ;)
