Jensen Interceptor Castrol GTX

Post by mik »

(I may have added the word Castrol myself).

Hands up who thinks this homage to the inspired by aping details from the (timeless) original with a respectful nod will make it beyond a single prototype? Make it to a road version?

It would be great to see an Interceptor recreated, but does anyone outside of the UK understand the brand? A bit like Facel Vega or Iso Grifo.

I followed one being driven enthusiastically the other day and was surprised how well the suspension seemed to be working for an old car. Whe he turned off the whhels looked to be larger than standard, but still the original design, so I expect there had been some upgrades underneath.

I feel like someone should commission retropower to but an Interceptor body on a modern chassis - a manual Cadillac CTS-V would work well!

Looks like they've used the front of a Camero when it should have been a Challenger. Back and side profile also look nothing like an Interceptor.
