Fix My Street

Post by IanF »

Walking into town yesterday and spotted a pothole in the middle of Adelaide Square (which is a road, not a square) -

I used the fix my street app at 1625 yesterday, and got an email today at 1508 to say a temporary repair had now been completed, but traffic lights were needed for final repair, and this should take a maximum of 3 months. Tbh, I’m impressed the came out that quickly and how easy it was to use the app

I've used it a few times, mostly to report flytipping. It is easy and the issues have been dealt with fairly quickly.

I have a sneaking suspicion that councils/agencies have pulled their normal preventative maintenance patrols (litter, weeds, rubbish, potholes etc)
They now wait until the report comes in then respond. Then boast that they "responded" to all queries in X hours....
The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on
