Krambals Bruschetta.
There isn’t a bad flavour, and the level of crunch they bake them to is “bob on”.

Re: Snacks
Kallö have some beetroot/vinegar rice cakes that are really nice. Otherwise I try to avoid snacking on anything other than fruit and veg.

Re: Snacks
Co-op sea salt & Chardonnay vinegar crisps. Powerful flavour.
Re: Snacks
As some of you might have seen on insta, I've become a bit of a sourdough baking tragic, so a bit of home made sourdough toasted with a drizzle of olive oil and a bit of salt / pepper I find to be a great snack.
A bit of dark chocolate (we get send kilos of Polish dark chocolate from the MIL, it's actually pretty good chocolate) or a Biscofff with my post lunch tea.
Other than that, my snacking consists of 'dad tax' on whatever sweets the little one has, or working through left over bags of crisps from when we have friends over, of which I particularly like Pipers crisps, Jalapeño and Dill being the pick. Eaten Path Balsamic tube things. Can't beat chilli heatwave Doritos mind you! Rib n saucy niknaks when I'm hungover.

Haribo pinballs
Blueberry’s and cream Haagan Dazs
Anything full of sugar
Don’t really do savoury snacks but have a strange like for salt and vinegar Pringles with Doritos hot salsa dip every now and then.
One of my feeling peckish evening snacks is to make some egg fried rice, couple of eggs and a packet of precooked rice. Butter, salt, pepper, dash of soy sauce.

Ooh you buggar. It's not even 09:30 and I'm already starting to obsess about making some egg-fried-rice for lunch, as we have some fresh spring onions in the fridge (in addition to normal onions & garlic). Dash of sesame oil makes it feel more authentic.integrale_evo wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 9:03 am One of my feeling peckish evening snacks is to make some egg fried rice, couple of eggs and a packet of precooked rice. I do still occasionally eat pre-cooked rice, but it's so easy to make your own in less than 20mins with the induction hob* that I generally do that instead. I've started throwing in a chicken stock cube to give the rice a flavour kick.

* induction hob allows a highly repeatable process. basmati rice
- 1 part rice to 1.5 parts boiling water
- boil vigorously for 3 minutes with lid off - stirring occasionally (particularly if you've thrown in a stock cube)
- stick the lid on and turn the heat right down (to 4 on my induction hob). Don't then touch it for 14mins to let it absorb all the water
- ready to eat. no draining.
Re: Snacks
Seabrooks crisps - I can only get ready salted or cheese and onion flavours easily but they are good. Though I've been enjoying Walkers Worcestershire Sauce flavour again.
Red Leicester flavour Mini Cheddars and full size Cheddars. Such a great flavour that it could have been the original if it had been invented earlier.

Re: Snacks
It must be hanging around on social media too much, because I don't see the word snack being about food anymore
So yes, they're awesome and like you, I usually snack on veg e.g. carrots or fruit, plus I keep a big stock of plain unsalted nuts.

They are really good. I was buying them a couple of years back as a low calories snack, except the flavouring is so perfect that I'd smash half a pack without stoppingDeskJockey wrote: Thu Apr 10, 2025 10:06 pm Kallö have some beetroot/vinegar rice cakes that are really nice. Re: Snacks
Anyone tried one of the new 'Dubai' pistachio chocolate bars? Hearing good things about them (despite the viral nonsense)
Also - this chocolate in Lidl is extremely more-ish if you're into chocolate and nuts.

Re: Snacks
i’ve developed a lactose intolerance which basically ruins snacks (everything has milk in it!) i used to love chocolate but that’s out.
i’m basically limited to nature valley crunch bars, Nairn biscuits, graze flapjacks, crisps and other boring stuff. i really liked vegan magnums, but they completely fuck my skin up so no idea what’s in them!!!

150g 0% Greek yoghurt
150g self raising flour
2 x tsp of baking powder
1/4 tsp of salt
Chuck it all in a bowl, need till smooth and that makes 5 medium naans.
Then I use them as a way of picking up meat snacks. Also a good way of feeding kids sandwich stuff instead of just bread or rolls.
Dave!

Our kids seem to prefer those to the normal ones.Rich B wrote: Fri Apr 11, 2025 10:13 am i really liked vegan magnums, but they completely fuck my skin up so no idea what’s in them!!!
Currently, snack wise, hot cross buns, orange Club biscuits, maybe a banana, or a mixed bowl of almonds and raisins. The Proper salt and vinegar lentil crisps you can get as part of a Boots meal deal are quite a moreish lunchtime component when I'm in town.
