Musky Poll
Musky Poll
There are of course over 100,000 employees in Tesla, but their overlord is quite visible/vocal at the moment and as it's often difficult to separate the brand from the bloke......
edit: it's just occured to me that I have clumsily constructed the poll - we don't have many Tesla owners on here so I guess it could theoretically be possible for someone to figure out what you probably voted for. If anyone cared, or could be bothered etc.
If you prefer to vote without sharing your views further, you might want to vote as a "non owner" instead? My fault - sorry.

Re: Musky Poll
I went for 3 but in truth, I wouldn't have bought any Tesla product anyway foe 3 main reason:
1. The "Cult of Elon" and all the "he's obviously right, he's a billionaire - who are you to doubt him" type gobshites... and I know a few of them
2. The product quality is shite, according to everyone I know who has one
3. The crap he pulled with the diver who saved all those kids in the cave
His current antics only go to reinforce my views.

Re: Musky Poll
Its the storys of aftersales also that put me off.
Re: Musky Poll
option 2 felt closest - ' but I'd probably still purchase one if I wanted to.'
Although I doubt that would happen.

Left over crest; tightens.
Re: Musky Poll
I would have considered one up until the end of last year. I reckon they'll reintroduce indicator stalks at some point on the Model 3 because the facelift Model Y has them, and other than that omission the Model 3 Performance in facelift form is great; good seats, handling, efficiency, even ride apparently. And Tesla always had the competitors beaten on charging infrastructure.
But I simply could not buy his products now. He's toxic and I would not be willing to be associated with him.

Re: Musky Poll
A Tesla was always on my shopping list of cars I'd love to own, but right now I would skip it, especially given how the new BYD does bunnyhops

Re: Musky Poll
True story - ahead of the Model 3 launch, when they were taking pre-orders, I put down a deposit. Closer to launch they removed silver as a colour option and I removed my deposit. No regrets. Even before the current lunacy they were depreciating pretty hard and I felt I'd dodged a bullet.
Last year I bought a s/h i3 when I absolutely could have bought a s/h Model 3. Also no regrets.

Re: Musky Poll
I put 2 but then realised there’s no Tesla on sale I currently like. S & X are left hand drive. 3 has no indicators and is a nerfed version of the US car and made in China. Never liked the Y much, the current version looks like a Model 3 with a giant forehead. New one looks better but is also not for me and made in China.
I don’t think the China cars are anywhere near as good now that long term data is out. The US ones were built like a tank with tank like fit and finish but they’re like cockroaches.

How about not having a sig at all?

What Simon said.
Re: Musky Poll
I wouldn’t buy a Chinese car or a Tesla or an electric car.
When forced to, I’ll get something like the R5 so I at least like the look of it.
Dave!

Re: Musky Poll
I know people who have had them and liked them a lot.
I would have considered one if I was after that sort of car as for many years their charging infrastructure was miles ahead of anything else ( and probably still is )
However I 100% would not buy one, or anything associated with Musk at the moment. He is Tesla, Tesla is him. Despite buying into an existing company and not actually inventing anything, he has put himself as the spokesman and figurehead and made it ‘his’ So Tesla is now linked to right wing political parties and trying to influence foreign elections as well as the nonsense going on in the USA at the moment.

He’s basically done a Ratner on it to be honest.
Re: Musky Poll
One of the big reasons various countries are considering cancelling F35 orders is the thought that the USA could basically brick the aircraft by denying access to essential cloud based software upgrades. Same applies to Tesla currently and any USA based companies at the moment in my mind
Also in consideration, ignoring all geopolitical stuff, the cyber truck is more likely to burn you to death than the infamous pinto now. And also has panels falling off on motorways. If a company can show so little consideration to customer safety in a single product, how many other issues would they be willing to ignore and try to weasel out of recalls for

Yeah, the two of them have thoroughly destroyed the USA’s value as a partner. This will play out for a generation or more.
Incidentally, closer to home we’re having a shake-up at work, with the creation of the National Armaments Directorate - NAD. It’s unique of course. We have only one NAD.

I have two - almost identical - NADs. Only the one in the bedroom is operational though.

Yes, it’s normal for one to sit higher than the other.

The job ad is live now, if any of you fancy it ? The nad is huge. It'll be a handful. And with the way the world is going, it'll be hairy at times.
