Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) Update

Post by SSO »

Just posted an update on Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) coming out of a discussion I had with their CEO in Monterey:

Comments? What should they launch next?

They've taken a unit next to ours in Hethel Engineering Centre, I've heard a rumour they're working with Lotus on something.
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

That engine is the key to the whole thing and what has brought given them such a following and reputation so quickly. Most of the big hitters in this segment have an engine which might be in a fairly special state of tune, but often has pretty humble origins.

To be able to say your car has a unique, exotic and special engine like that just adds so much value/perceived value IMO.

Well Lotus could help GMA with their logo and GMA could help Lotus rediscover its soul, sort production out, school them on how to get along with suppliers and tutor on how to design a modern car under a tonne.
