PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
Lidl currently have Faxe 10% “trucker lager”, and also a lighter 5% brew that’s more of a breakfast drink. Both are 1000ml cans.
I’m halfway through the 10%. I can’t feel my face any more.

Nice, I'll have a run at that on Sunday
Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
That’s brilliant. The acceptable face of Special Brew.

The most expensive part(s) of the SMART repair. I expect they'll be recycled on it somewhere.

Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
It's funny you should mention that ! It's not happened yet but I picked up the empty can a moment ago and noticed it was quite heavy. It's steel, and seemingly a decent thickness. It'll be worth keeping some in the garage. For "repairs".

Good god no. I think I remember the last two times
One of them I had to have a little lie down on the kitchen floor for a while.
The other, IIRC, you disappeared for a worryingly long time and I genuinely thought you might be in peril.

Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
I just Googled to check the ABV of Special Brew - it's a frankly amateur 7.5%* - and found the Sainsbury's listing with the following tasting notes as if it's a fine wine and not just rocket fuel for teenagers to get f**ked up on:
Serving suggestion: A full-bodied strong lager, with a rich malty flavour and a subtle hint of cognac... best served shared...enjoy with mature and blue cheese.

* Edit: the reviews make clear it used to be 9%, and has been slowly emasculated.
Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
Yeah, I've always enjoyed that subtle hint of cognac. For the first half can at least.
Left over crest; tightens.

Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
It used to be more than 7.5% but the UK Duty rules brought it down.
It used to be like treacle but now you need to pay up for micro brewery 10% treacle at £6 a half for that nonsense lol

Re: PSA: FAXE @ LIDL
I’ll grab some of that. I used to drink the 5% one at uni.
This was also a regular purchase in Amsterdam. Tasted decent too.
