Anyone near RAF Cosford?

Planning on going to the air show, anyone nearby recommend and pubs with accommodation or bnbs etc?

I know the area a bit - my father lived near there for many years. Albrighton and Shifnal are the two closest places, both big enough to have a few pubs (none I know to be able to recommend I'm afraid). Shifnal has the Park House hotel, google tells me Albrighton has a pub with rooms (the White Hart) - not stayed at either.

The Lion Hotel in Brewood does great (not cheap) food but the bed was uncomfy. The bed was much comfier at the Spread Eagle at Gailey which is cheap and on a part with Premier Inn/Travelodge, but the pub itself is pretty characterless.
