No, it doesn’t work at all
I reckon they’re assuming someone will spot the car and think it’s such a perfect example that they’ll make a high offer.
However that doesn’t happen, you need some kind of ballpark price to start haggling from

(assuming someone trying to laughably knock down a reasonable advertised price)
"It's up there, and it's more than you are willing to spend, bye" <block>
Never selling a car on Facebook again.
Re: I'm thinking of selling....
I've used it once successfully, in the old days of car forums. Ded now.
Re: I'm thinking of selling....
I very much dislike the passive aggressive "sales" posts.
"thinking about selling maybe possibly but don't lowball me, I don't have to sell" Well FRO and come back when you do want to sell it you bellend.

“I don’t know how much this is worth so please tell me here so I can advert it elsewhere for more”

When I sell mine the question will be 'How much do you think a sports edition is worth more than a 3.2s?'
Followed by do you want to buy it lol
