So mrs mik and I went out for a "Valentine's dinner" last night to our favourite Italian place. And as I tucked into their simply fabulous olives at the start of the meal, I was reminded of you horrible lot
. We didn't do a poll at the time - correcting that wrong.

I like Olive Tapenade, but not actual Olives.
Don't like the texture

These are the best olives

Don't bother trying to argue with me. I know my olives.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Do not open this message. Private.
Olives are fucking rank and have no place in civilised society.
And Yes, I’m including Martinis

And yet nobody has placed a vote against option 6. "Olives stuffed with shizzle (peppers or wotevah)"
You may know your olives, but it appears you may need some assistance with polls?
Re: Do not open this message. Private.
I accidentally pressed option 3
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Do not open this message. Private.
I did not include this option. This mistake is all mine. I can only hope that The Lord God Almighty is lenient16vCento wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 10:23 am I like Olive Tapenade, but not actual Olives.

Also they're not stuffed, the sliced peppers are simply mixed into the brine.

Anything stuffed and cold can get in the sea.
Re: Do not open this message. Private.
Your description appears to be well aligned with that of the manufacturer as opposed to the statement from Ocado which we now know to be erronous.Mito Man wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 10:59 am Also they're not stuffed, the sliced peppers are simply mixed into the brine.
"These large, pitted green Gordal olives are crisp, firm textured and meaty and are packed in a spicy brine with pieces of Guindilla chilli for a noticeable touch of heat."
I declare your claim to Know Your Olives to be substantiated.

Unpitted? Come on guys, foods shouldn't be that much hassle to eat.
Re: Do not open this message. Private.
Whilst this is true (and a bowl of unpitted olives at a work-related meal is not a joyous thing to watch being consumed) they do taste better to me. Along the lines of tomatoes on the vine, chicken cooked on the bone etc etc.duncs500 wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 11:15 am Unpitted? Come on guys, foods shouldn't be that much hassle to eat.

Re: Do not open this message. Private.
Why is there no "all of the olives" option?

It’s like picking your favourite child. You must choose one…

100% on this. What sort of unhinged lunatic deliberately goes for unpitted? Not only is it a faff to eat but you are left with biodebris at the end.duncs500 wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 11:15 am Unpitted? Come on guys, foods shouldn't be that much hassle to eat.

I am not big on the "dirty" martini
(for the uninitiated, the barman tips some of the brine from the olive pot in with your olive)

Reminds me of a friend I used to have who had a disgusting habit of not not eating pickled mussels/cockles from the jar, but would then drink the brine
As in all of the brine
