Your music year (Spotify or other)

Post by McSwede »

It's that time of year when Spotify tell you your stats. Below are mine and it'd be interesting to know what everyone else has been listening to.

I'd love to know what I've been listening to, unfortunately between my wife and my mum, my Spotify has been ruined, so my top lists are full of The Saturdays and the Spice Girls

Yes, I regret setting up Spotify on my Google Home for my little boy.

I tend to use Spotify as background music by picking one of their playlists and leaving it running, so although this is all music I like, it speaks more about what Spotify serves me rather than what I’ve actively chosen.

The top 4 of my 5 are Encanto soundtack songs courtesy of my girls!

Foals were my most played overall, increasing my creditability slightly.

I don't use Spotify. But my daughter does.
Just on the free one. Should probably get a subscription now that Amazon Music no longer lets you play specific songs without Music Unlimited. Same with Spotify, but Spotify on an old phone still lets her play specific songs (I guess the app is not updated)

I’ve always got it on todays top hits or uk top 50 or something like that, unless I’m running, in which case it’s Eminem.
Mind you I really don’t like Ed Sheeran and skip most of his stuff so I’m surprised he’s no. 1!

These highlights are a bit misleading as a fan of EDM, because I'm inevitably listening to mixes and playlists that are a different artist with each song. I rarely listen to a single EDM artist for multiple songs in a row.

It seems I've been more heavily on the metal side this year. Tends to be a broad spectrum in reality. There's no fucking ED Sheeran or Adele though

To be fair, I've not used Spotify all that much this year, I mostly listen to the radio.

I rarely use Spotify but I’m pleased at how diverse the few hours’ listening I’ve done through the app was:
