Too hard to get that microturbine through emmisions due to length of warmup and "idle" AFAIK. So they then went down the conventional ICE+hybrid route before canning the lot because it was too heavy and they wanted to spend the money on the Gaydon Triangle amongst other stupid things.

The more I look at it, that view of the car is just utterly embarrassing.
