GP2 joyride car on a highway
Re: GP2 joyride car on a highway
That's an F1 car. Ferrari don't do GP2 and GP2 cars don't sound like that.

Yeah, looks early 2000s F1?
Re: GP2 joyride car on a highway
I reckon it’s an old GP2, they used to look damn near identical to F1 and had a 4 litre V8 until the F1 cars went hybrid and ended up being put to shame. Nothing Ferrari about it though, Dallara chassis and Renault V8.
How about not having a sig at all?

Seen other videos- I did wonder how the camera car was keeping up with it- turns out it’s a Bugatti Chiron
Also I think it’s a gp2/08

Does anyone remember the name of the Canadian racer who used to post on here/the other place who had an indycar? I remember that he said he took it for a test run near where he lived.

What about the very obvious Ferrari logos and what appears to be an F1 logo? Could all be misdirection, but seems unlikely.Mito Man wrote: Sun Aug 14, 2022 9:21 pm I reckon it’s an old GP2, they used to look damn near identical to F1 and had a 4 litre V8 until the F1 cars went hybrid and ended up being put to shame. There's nothing correct about the livery either. It's no different to slapping on a Gulf livery on a 911 and driving it down to LeMans. It's using both forms of the cigarette advertising - the obvious Marlborough lettering and the then later barcode version of it designed to contravene the cigarette ban. It's running the current F1 logo. The Shell logo is too small and the Ferrari too big. The front wing and nosecone isn't F1. It's not a V10 either.DeskJockey wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 9:59 amWhat about the very obvious Ferrari logos and what appears to be an F1 logo? It's just done up for fun.

Also after a quick look on YouTube to try to narrow down the age of the car I reckon it may be this exact car

Was on the forum of old and used to post cars and coffee in Nevada I believe. The old indycar was a march of some kindJimmy Choo wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 9:28 am Does anyone remember the name of the Canadian racer who used to post on here/the other place who had an indycar? Yep. I’d like to see them let proper f1 cars do some test runs to get a setup for it and do some proper flat out runs instead of demos on wet tyres to show off to the crowd.

Oh yeah! I vaguely remember him. Can't for the life of me think of his name though.jamcg wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 7:42 pmWas on the forum of old and used to post cars and coffee in Nevada I believe. If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Scottsdale, Arizona? That guy with an F40 and (I think) a 360CS? I'm sure someone from the forum met him at some point.
Was his name Dino or something?
I never knew he was Canadian or a racer TBH.

I think I'm combining two people. It was Dino who had the indycar and someone else who raced in Canada.duncs500 wrote: Tue Aug 16, 2022 12:30 pm Scottsdale, Arizona? That guy with an F40 and (I think) a 360CS? I'm sure someone from the forum met him at some point.
