Hermes/Evri

Post by Gavster »

Every time an online order is being delivered by them, I pray to the Gods of parcel delivery to be kind in the hope that the goods will arrive this time.

It is almost as if changing the name did nothing for fixing the fundamental problems with the service. Having said that our local delivery person is excellent.

The main part of my job is managing b2c logistics and we have a standing rule that we don’t work with Hermes

That's a wise policy. It must be a good gig working for Hermes because of the amount of products you can nick and then flip on eBay  all you need is a pair of Air Max per shift and you'll double your wages.

Worst.

Couriers.

Ever.

I'll actively avoid buying something from a company if they use Hermes/Evri but often its not until they send the item that you realise...
Cheers,

Mike.

When I first started speaking to DPD about working together they wanted to send me a parcel with some info packs and stuff in it so I gave them my address. It arrived like 4 days late because the driver kept trying to deliver it to the wrong house

I ordered some parts for our cat's drinking fountain which were delivered by Evri.

Parcel disappeared for around 4 days, never bothered complaining to Evri but complained to the company who shipped it. The parcel arrived at about 7 pm the same day

Ordered a battery from Tayna on Wednesday hoping for it to be delivered yesterday. NOPE.

Delivery is (actually around now) which is annoying as I wanted to pop out for lunch and see someone.

Think I've been spoiled by Amazon lately

(edit - to be fair it was 1730 on Weds I ordered it so I guess I cocked myself over with that one)

I ordered a door handle trim from eBay 2 months ago and the seller used Evri. Looks like Evri don’t know where it is but they still have it however the seller refunded me and told me that I will probably receive it but just have to wait a few more months

Not to mention that most websites are mentioning the Royal Mail strikes this month. I think they're barely working during November.

Today is a terrible day for couriers. Amazon have claimed they handed my parcels to me when I wasn't home and InPost have now delivered some children's clothing instead of a Zoom PodTrak. It really is a race to the bottom <sigh>.

You’d think with all royal mails strike action stuff ongoing they’d all step up to try and woo people away from rm and parcelforce. But no, still as useless as ever
