Wheels / alloys / rims.

When I first saw them I was like “wow”

Then I thought they looked too fussy (relative to the classically gorgeous originals) where the spokes meet the rim.

Then I thought “but look at the offset at the front - that looks wikkid (innit)

But now it’s occured to me that the rears look too heavily offset. Verging on Carlos Fandango….

So should I like these fucking wheels or not?

I don't, they don't sit right in those arches.

I’m the same. They’re lovely in their own right but don’t quite suit the car; the stance is slightly wrong.

Not a fan, i reckon they would look better on a 309.

Not for me, perfect as standard.

I wonder if it ever gets driven hard enough to make the arches rub.

My old one used to get close on standard track width and standard wheels n tyres (note rear looks more tucked than stock due to negative camber hubs):

I like the wheels but it doesn’t sit right for me.

Probably better suited to the spotted thread, but I saw a mint 309 gti goodwood out enjoying the sunshine on Sunday

Definitely sticking out a bit too far.

1.9 GTI, MI16, Alfa Teledials all look fantastic on their respective cars.

That’s a gorgeous 205 though, such great cars.
