I did a construction project for Arqiva years ago at the Emley Moor tower site, we were told that if we cut the power at any point we'd turn off the tv for a million people. I thought they were being dramatic...!

I had a go on a digger one of the ground workers had one day, I was merrily digging into the ground at what turned out to be the main run from the tower to the main building. Luckily I realised in time!

Does that mean we won't get northern down here then?

It means you won’t get programmes like The Yorkshire Vet or Coronation Street.
