Always winds me up when sellers describe a car as "very clean". What, so you washed it so that cancels out the dents, scratches and rust?

Clean usually refers to condition as well as meaning not dirty.

Mispronouncing a word isn’t the same a using as word to mean something other than its original use. Language changes all the time. The dictionary reflects actual usage, it doesn’t proscribe it.
