Wait, why isn't it on the top of the front page a day later??!!!!??!!!?
Looking back historically the biggest protest ever in the UK was the anti Iraq war protest that had something like 750k in attendance. This likely had more and was not deemed worthy at the time, got a small footnote the next day from what I can see and has now been completely bumped.
It certainly wasn't there when it was happening. I knew about it and checked at the time while I watched a bit of the stream (yes I know but I've had someone around fitting some new internal doors so Saturday was a bit slow for me). I guess if July the 19th happens it might be a small footnote in the history of Covid19 with the la la la we're not listening stance working, if it doesn't it might come a surprise to many if next time is larger and turns into something nasty.
These lads are happy wfh and will defend it as long as they can as it suits them.
I'm lucky to be in this position myself, but I haven't gigged in 18 months as my roller discos haven't run. The people that ran them just about exist and have no money for anything more than basics (They have 2 vans for discos that are both now off the road as they can't keep up maintenance on them as they can't afford it, so I don't know if they'll be able to come back) and I've paid for a couple of takeaways just to give them a treat they enjoy.
I know a couple of people who've been made redundant due to businesses closing too even in the local and fairly prosperous south east.
So while I'm personally OK and I'm going to work for free to get the roller discos started up again, I'm not taking the 'I'm alright jack' attitude that some seem to have.
Full respect too. Unfortunately we have a the vocal few who are blind to what's going on mainly as they dont have to pay for childcare or travel and their new normal is fucking ace.

working full time whilst looking after children is pretty fucking far from "ace"...

Saves you 80 quid child care, 20 travel, 10 food each and every day. At. Least.

Don't rise to it Rich, Broccers hasn't had his attention so he's acting out. Like a child.

yep, and I gladly pay that every day so I can actually do my job - whether I'm in the office or WFH.
Not a single one of those pictures was from the Freedom March.
No, they are for comparison with the weekend's protests, do you think they look the same, more or less?
Sorry, got you. When I looked at the pan over the crowds from the video (in the mains stream, I haven't watched the crappy edit) it seemed to go on and on and on. Those Brexit protests don't seem to show much beyond the square and the overflow in two of the directions from the photograph indicates that the bulk of the crowd are in the square or directly above in shot and we cannot see how far it goes back.

Well, the most important news is that I've had my first jab. Headache and nausea have kicked in already so guess I'm one of the lucky ones who get side effects. Nausea might be anxiety related but it's still unpleasant.
Thats the problem. If you need to be directed to find information when I will guide you to links that agree with my view.
That's okay. It is your view and sources.
On the dumb list.
Yes, we all know your views come from the dumb list. What's your point?

Ho hum.
Pray for Beany.
At least it only lasts a few days, unlike the real thing.

Oh, compared to Covid it's like free wi-fi with tits.
Still crap though.

It's actually a bit worse today - feel very fatigued and foggy. Have come into work though because all my data entry work is piling up and if I don't deal with it, it'll just be even more work tomorrow and through the rest of the week.
Pfizer, if anyone's interested - isn't that the one that kills the under 40s?

No I don't think so.
I've had both Pfizer jabs now, I'm 33 and neither made me feel ill, just had a bit of an ache arm for a couple of hours.

No. AZ is the one associated with (very low levels of) blood clots to the brain.
You're perhaps feeling worse side effects as you've already had Covid so you're response is stronger (people generally report stronger reaction to the second jab for the same reason). I had Pfizer and just made my arm/neck ache for 3 or 4 days
