Was streamed live on Facebook by Richard Tice (no comment on his allegiance he just happened to the be the one in the air) who had a helicopter crowdfunded, was patchy from time to time as they were using civilian networks to stream the footage.

GB News has reported on it.

I only heard about it because I follow Slipmatt (of SL2 fame) who has largely until now stayed silent on the subject but after having his livelihood killed by lockdowns has (along with several prominent DJ's including Danny Rampling) decided to get more vocal on the subject. He was there along with these people and I picked up the links from his feed to the stream of the live protest.
Bingo, well done.

looks like it matches with the poor quality Facebook copy from 19min or so.

Was estimated as more than a million but the live stream from reform UK is still up here:

Julia Hartley brewer of talk radio was tweeting pictures out when I looked for twitter hits on the protest (I don't do twitter or listen to talk radio but they came up in the search).

Watch the panning shots and make up your own mind.

Look at twitter.
What Twitter accounts? What hashtags? Who is saying what?
Thats the problem. If you need to be directed to find information when I will guide you to links that agree with my view.

Oh FFS, no wonder I block your posts 99% of the time. I posted a link to a BBC video report and that's the nonsense you respond with.

Even if you had a reasonable and consistant point of view you're clearly incapable of communicating it.

The video is credible and was filmed this weekend. Those colourful banners on Oxford street are pretty recent. I recall they put them up once they announced that it was going to become fully pedestrianised.

The march was definitely on the BBC News App main feed on Sunday morning - I guess it's moved down the priority because of what it is...

Also reported in the Guardian, The Mail etc...

Wake up sheeple!

I have no idea why my mate posted the dodgy version up rather than one that doesn't look like it was recorded on VHS and buried in landfill for a decade.

It certainly wasn't there when it was happening. I knew about it and checked at the time while I watched a bit of the stream (yes I know but I've had someone around fitting some new internal doors so Saturday was a bit slow for me). Looking back historically the biggest protest ever in the UK was the anti Iraq war protest that had something like 750k in attendance. This likely had more and was not deemed worthy at the time, got a small footnote the next day from what I can see and has now been completely bumped.
I guess if July the 19th happens it might be a small footnote in the history of Covid19 with the la la la we're not listening stance working, if it doesn't it might come a surprise to many if next time is larger and turns into something nasty.

There's been one of these protests every month or so for the last year - and every time they whine about not being front page of the "MSM" to try and get themselves talked about. It's just white noise now.

As far as I know there were three or four protests/marches happening at the same time. Climate change, trans pride and the super secret lockdown one that no one's allowed to talk about.

I'd be curious to know if all the footage was from one protest.

I saw people posting from the climate change protest and trans pride on twitter, I didn't actually read any of the articles posted.

I'm just always dubious of these videos showing a busy street and claims of a million at a protest.

Three quarters of a million? Doesn't seem likely.

Looks significantly smaller than the Brexit protests which was "hundreds of thousands"

I'm lucky to be in this position myself, but I haven't gigged in 18 months as my roller discos haven't run. The people that ran them just about exist and have no money for anything more than basics (They have 2 vans for discos that are both now off the road as they can't keep up maintenance on them as they can't afford it, so I don't know if they'll be able to come back) and I've paid for a couple of takeaways just to give them a treat they enjoy.
I know a couple of people who've been made redundant due to businesses closing too even in the local and fairly prosperous south east.
So while I'm personally OK and I'm going to work for free to get the roller discos started up again, I'm not taking the 'I'm alright jack' attitude that some seem to have.
