JL, all the best with the little one arriving. I’ve not been aware of this until now but reading the posts in this thread it sounds like the kid will be in Germany whilst you’re still living in Dubai?
As for the Lego thing I know too many people who drive people carriers or other such mundane cars, don’t drink apart from at Christmas and have kids. Their free time is spent shopping, decorating, DIY as insisted by their wife or playing chief cook and bottle washer or taxi for the family with a smattering of TV. They have nothing else to do with their lives so actually a bit of plastic brick would be a massive leap forward in their lives.
It’s also a switch off from the rest of the world, some find it easier than others but it’s a distraction non the less.

Only for the first month or two then they're both moving back to Dubai. Pregnant, single lasses get thrown in prison in Dubai!

JL, it might be a wise idea not to go there again anyway, but I recall RichB's advice: stay at the head end. Best wishes for the birth
A word of caution, depending on her position and angle, staying at the head end might not be enough to avoid seeing things happen. Could be that it is because I'm over a foot taller than the other half, but I saw all three emerge from the supposedly safe end.
Anyway, enjoy the bundle of joy when it arrives and all the best!
Poor Lorna, vomiting out your triplets! (Yes, *that* is the only correct interpretation, I'm certain

)

I had to be at the safe end to hold her from being pulled off the table when they were yanking at the other end with the forecepts. Little buggers came out looking like they’d had a good kicking after both getting stuck. I was then handed him dripping with blood.
My brother passed out when his were born.

yeah, foreceps are terrifying. The doctor took a stance like she was in a full on tug of war to get Sam out. I did not like that one bit...

Cash is a medium that adults can exchange for goods and services. HTH.

I’d have a cash over a voucher. I don’t understand vouchers, they can become worthless overnight, have an expiry date and are much less useful than cash.

True, but the odd bit of verbal abuse is part of the experience.

I know adults who rather than buying each other presents just exchange Christmas cards with cash inside. Seems like a waste of time

I’m with Ricardo on this one.

Being vomited on is useful to remind her how much
you suffered through the birth.

Back to the presents, I got a pair of AirPods from the wife (I’m a weirdo who really likes the shape of apple earphones). In typical apple fashion, the set up sequence is awesome - I put them in my ears, held the charging box next to my phone as I went to the Bluetooth option, then it magically came up with “Richards AirPods” and they were paired.
