Some things I have discovered since getting it:
- The BBS alloys are required to clear the Brembo brake calipers, and clearance really limits which alloys you can fit. I doubt I'll need a second pair of alloys but basically none of the standard ND model MX5 alloys fit; the 124 Abarth alloys do fit but are much heavier. There are plenty of aftermarket wheels available but generally require spacers to clear the brakes and don't actually look better than the BBSs. Mazda charge the best part of a grand per wheel for replacements for the BBSs because they're forged. Oh well, seems like I have ended up with the best wheel option for my car by default

It's also lovely to feel the lightness; even not using full throttle or more than 5000rpm, it zipped up the hill on the A449 past Hindlip in a totally different way to my S6 which steamrollers it in comparison. It's certainly a nippy little thing; with low expectations for performance it exceeds them pleasingly.
