That seems unfair. Surely you check all the cars, not just four. There's only 20, hardly a daunting task.
Would make sense to check everyone who is going to get points, then if any of those are disqualified check anyone promoted into a points position and so on.
Also seems a bit silly they’re not allowed to change the plank after the sprint race.

The FIA have always only checked a few cars, usually it's more random, but it's odd that for such a highly funded organisation they have always lacked the manpower to scrutineer more than a handful of cars, let alone all the points paying positions. And they're the ones wanting another F1 team to join in but struggle to police 10 teams already.

Stolen from Facebook- you can see why they ended up more worn than redbull.
Ferrari have stated that Charles plank was only out of tolerance by a couple of tenths of a mm, so I guess it takes more checking than just a tape measure

The whole of Mexico is crying right now. Feel like Perez should have known better than to put his car there

At least we get a reset. Rest of the race would have been a snooze fest.
Has Sainz gone back to being a second rate driver already, Leclerc missing a large portion of his wing and still pulling a gap on him.

Not sure it can be judged as harshly here, with the altitude that end plate probably wasn’t doing that much, he didn’t loose any horizontal elements

Spoiler
That shouldn’t be happening at an f1 race. Drive to survive has a lot to answer for with they type of fan the sport attracts now
Edit- spoilered because probably nsfw due to violence- Perez fans scrapping with Ferrari fans in the grandstands
