The point is, if they spent more money on in season development last year, then how much of the work has benefited this season's car? I agree he is a worthy champion, and it certainly isn't his fault, but it is still an issue. If I were the FIA, I would leave the 2022 WDC with MV, but disqualify RB from 2022 WCC. I think that's the only way the FIA come out of this with any integrity.
Won't happen of course, but it's what should happen IMO.
