Same, and road-going quads too. They seem to combine the worst aspects of bikes (you're very exposed) and cars (can't cut through lanes of traffic) without the advantages of either.

Thanks for your service. :D

You wouldn't think the yellow lights would work with yellow paint and yet it still does.

Lotus Drivers Club (of which I am still not a member) meeting again today - with a twist as @scotta had agreed with the organiser to open the invite to Alpine owners (Scotchish Alpine facebook group? Not sure - I'm sure someone will be along at some point to advise).

Mine beside a launch-edition NA version.
His PPF was emphatically whiter than mine, but he's only had it 7 months or something so had no idea if the PPF had been replaced (suspect yes). After seeing it beside mine he's going to get the lower sills painted/vynil'd black.

Lovely V8 Esprit. Sounded great.
Image

This is owned by the guy who had the immaculate Clio WIlly at the last meeting. It also looked fabulous. He reckoned the paint needed some work, but I couldn't see it.

Image

360 interloper. (Also - Caterham had was a 2.3 with different cams, pushing 320bhp. Yikes).
Image

Wads of space in there to work on it as needed.
Image

Lovely imported NSX. Unfortunately no white socks or loafers were required as it was an auto, but lovely condition. Surprisingly large boot on it. Did not check for froot.
Image

Image

The modern Alpinos. All had the sports seats which are height-adjustable via bolts only. One car on the highest setting, another on the lowest, and one had the passenger seat on the middle setting. Cue owners (plus someone considering an A110, and - erm - me) jumping between cars to compare....

Standard 80's GTA Turbo - shot taken mainly for comparison
Image

With this - an homage to the very limited Le Mans versions. Check those pumped arches.

Unfortunately the owner reversed into his spot with it gargling and producing quite a lot of smoke from the exhaust. That wasn't normal..... it wasn't doing it when filled up just before he arrived....hang on...... bollocks. Call dude to pump the diesel out..... Luckily I think the diesel had just got to the engine as he pulled in, so I can't imagine there is anything other than minor inconvenience to deal with :geek:

Needs slamming

I nearly booked one of these to hire for our summer holiday - it's only £150 more than the medium sized thing we've booked anyway. Wife has too much common sense though, pointing out we've no idea where we'd charge it and it's likely not big enough to get 3 suitcases in. Would've been fine I reckon but I'm more laissez-faire about these things.

Harsh, I have a fine rear end.

Ours is the Techno rather than Iconic trim, so nicer alloys (oddly, they're fitted to the Iconic in France while the ones from the UK Iconic pictured are on the Techno over there) and the black trim round the arches is just matt plastic, not painted.

The boot's really quite a decent size actually. If anyone does want to fit three cases in one, I can try it.

It’s not exactly pretty, but I don’t dislike it.

Have you seen the Nissan micra version though? Looks a right bodge job of a facelift 😄

i think it’s probably the photo as much as anything - it’s hiding the black detail and making the rear screen look really narrow.

Not a car but a person.

Tavarish in Portsmouth in a VW Camper. He was checking in at the same hotel as me and the family.

I expect an F50 just fell in the Solent and a few new videos will appear!

Bloody hell someone here has bought one already. It still looks odd to my eyes. The front looks like it’s too modern and feels like it’s an EV and the side looks like they forgot to update it. Maybe I’ll get used to it after walking past it frequently.

I've just seen the very same car - in the motoring section of the local newspaper. https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=7 ... 93&dpr=1.5

Mito is Troy Queef
