Nonsense. It'll spend the most of the day doing updates and synchronising. Relax!

Re: Trump
He was like that drunken old uncle making a rambling speech at a family wedding at about 2am in the morning. It was like peak Trump, he did a greatest hits of all his usual bullshit, lies and incoherent nonsense that he's been sprouting for the last 3/4 years.
Every time I hear him speak, it amazes me that anybody with half a braincell could vote for him.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Trump
I'm increasingly thinking that America is turning into a failed state, honestly. There has to be something badly, badly wrong with them if they think turning their country into an authoritarian shithole to 'own the libs' is an appealing idea.
Which a significant amount of the population seem to agree with.

Re: Trump
You can argue about it being irresponsible but all these stupid announcements are just posturing - its really not worth getting that worked up about and/or is certainly not anything unexpected from Trump.
If necessary the normal legal processes will take place to challenge discrepancies etc., order recounts, etc. as has been done many times previously in US elections and it is also not unheard of for weeks to go by and court hearings to be needed before a new president is sworn in. It didn't lead to the collapse of democracy then and now is no different.

The difference is that Trump has a huge amount of people who are willing to do insane things based on what he says and no other evidence.GG. wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 11:04 am You can argue about it being irresponsible but all these stupid announcements are just posturing - its really not worth getting that worked up about and/or is certainly not anything unexpected from Trump.

The last time I remember a US election being really controversial was the whole Bush Florida thing in 2000 and the cultural climate in the US is completely different now.

Anyone know why BBC is reporting 224/213 where every other outlet is reporting 238/213?

The BBC seems to err on the side of caution with its results. Other outlets seem to be a little more gung ho.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 12:10 pm Anyone know why BBC is reporting 224/213 where every other outlet is reporting 238/213?
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Re: Trump
I’m genuinely flabbergasted by just how many people have voted for him after he’s presided over and stoked, a dumpster fire of hatred.
As for having faith in the Supreme Court, did he not rush through the appointment of his preferred nominee for Chief Justice which has also given them a majority there?

Some American networks are calling States even though there are still a lot of votes to be counted. I've been watching CNN who have been more realistic.Delphi wrote: Wed Nov 04, 2020 12:46 pmThe BBC seems to err on the side of caution with its results. Trump is a cunt of the highest order and he's going to get beaten!
Biden is 3/10 on Betfair now. The orange Oranguchild is 5/2.
Re: Trump
Yes.
I think I've given up on the USA now.
My wife was saying that one day she'd like to move out there. A cousin of hers has married a famous sports presenter from one of the TV networks and loves it. I just see it as a broken, unsafe crack den run by lunatics, liars and racists.
