Sue me.
Me too. The lines of the car suit the slight stretch. Looks a bit dumpy otherwise.

The 320d has Bridgestone S001 run flats, they’re fine for comfort/grip imo, it made me question the whole hatred for runflats. Though I do rate the Michelin super sports on my M3 - They grip well, ride well, even last well..
We found them hateful on our 1er. Once they got below a certain tread depth they tramlined horrendously, and the chassis struggled to cope imo. Wife was all for binning the car off until we switched to non-RFT F1s. It was a startling transformation. Much, much quieter, no tramlining, more pliant ride without losing anything handling wise.

I nearly went for a C300 in Lincoln a couple of months ago. Seems the place to go for a deal.

That 140 looks great. Have fun with it!

Has anyone ever, in the history of ever, ever picked up a new car with the correct tyre pressures?

Now mine has sat overnight and is nicely cold, I went out to find 41 in the back and 37 in the front. Should be 35 both ends. No wonder it felt firmer than I remembered! FFS it's such a simple thing.

Probably overinflated to compensate for the average owner never inflating their tyres

Nope. My mum got a check tyre pressure warning on the way home from picking her new car up.

Car looks good, much better than the prefacelift. I don't envy your journey home with it though

Looks nice and shiny 8-)

I wouldn't mind one of these but I'll likely go for the bowler hat rather than the clownshoe as they're cheaper

I should imagine that it'll be the other way round in a few years, 135 / 140 hatches must have outsold the coupes many times over?

Yeah, I guess so - just a race to the bottom now
Coops are down to 5.5k -> 6k now so I’m watching them with interest

Didn't realise they were that cheap, must have quite a head start over the later hatches.

Obviously other selling outlets are available plus it’s a buyer market for stuff like this

Lad at work bought one for 5 and a half just before Xmas - it’s running 370/380 now and a second hand BMW PE xorst

Eg on EBay there’s one at 6k- you’ll probably get that for a cheeky sub 6k offer

Image

Not saying that particular one but they are going for 6k at present
They go well with a bit of extra boost

Sold as spares or repair!

All the rest are £9k+

As I said ...not that one !
Was just to illustrate they’re not all 9k and not all the 8/9k ones are selling at 8/9k, that’s the asking price
That 6k one was 8k a few weeks back
It will sell to someone at the right price - most likely a spark who’ll spend some time on it or has got a mate who’ll sort out the ECU connection

If you have been watching them for a year or so you will see cars going for the prices I mentioned - sometimes people just need to get rid of a car quick as their new car has arrived and the dealer offers them even less

Image

Before Xmas there were a fair few cheaper ones but I’m not trying to convince you ;)

As I say, they’ve been coming down for ages and the earliest ones are 12 years old now so will obviously be a lot cheaper than the M135is

That one was up for 8k asking a few weeks back...so it’s down 2k in a few weeks
Obviously has the well known ECU issue but if it gets to 5k and you don’t mind the colour and mods it’s worth looking at

Image

If you’re happy to put up with a drop top and even an auto they’re sometimes even cheaper

Image

The one the guy at work bought last year was cheap at £6250 asking price but needed a couple of tyres so he haggled the seller down
If you follow the prices a lot of them aren’t selling.....especially as you could put x-amount down and xxx per month and have a shiny new M140 with a more practical ( for most ) 5-door hatch
I guess the M240 will be available a while longer too and the same applies

I was interested in this one ( want black or white ideally )
but only really wanted to go to 6k for that one

Older cars aren’t for everyone but I’ve run them all my life so a bit of work on one doesn’t put me off - I run older cars on a daily basis so a 57/08 plate would be new to me! :)
