My boy spotted this at the garage today when filling up. I know it makes no sense at all, but I have found myself really wanting one again as a sensible (single digit mpg? surely not) second car for family and dogs.

Image

So if anyone sees one up for sale....
Cheers,

Mike.

Have you considered an M3 Touring? 😉

Spotted an R107 Mercedes-Benz SL500 in the works car park yesterday.

And unlike most of these you see nowadays, this one was pretty ratty, pretty well used. It's obviously someone's daily driver and that made me feel good - it's how it should be

There’s a house in Richmond with very similarly coloured (green) Taycan Sport Tourismo and a 964; a strong perfect garage contender imho

@Swervin_Mervin Good price for a 550i! I've been going down a rabbit hole of what second car I could have for cheap wagon/4x4 for either a 10-15K deposit or outright purchase...

Mike.

Go on - what have you been thinking? Must admit, a 550i Touring does appeal...

That's a lot of time in the dealership.

Loving how the seat sensor brings the car to a halt :?

Be interesting to see the photos when they upload them. I didn’t think BMW had sold a single F11 550i Touring in anything other than MSport trim in the U.K. I suspect it’s actually a saloon, but if it is a Touring in luxury trim it’ll be a bit of a unicorn.

I finally managed to beat the recaptcha they had in place and send a message asking for more info and pictures.
Cheers,

Potential Jap import ? They have a liking for high spec large capacity petrols.

Such a shame the wheels have been painted black.

Speaking of 911s, I walk past this house in Bermondsey all the time, it's absolutely iconic. All the details on the house are painted black with a matching black whale-tail 911 outside. It's been like that for decades, the owner is an artist and used to hold events there too.

ETA: Probably worth millions too, the last time a house sold on that road was a mere two-storey terraced house at £875k in 2014.

That’s just down the road from me. They’ve tried and failed to sell it for £3-4m.

Here’s one from this morning
