I do like a bit of tactical contact
This was really quite satisfying to watch

I particularly liked the copper chasing a suspect and shouting "You're done mate, you're done, I can do this all day"

I loved the subtle dig of "has your nose always been like that?" in the first one

Anyone following Mark McCann's attempts to buy a Veyron? He seems to nearly be there, but his first video looking at the man maths around it and how to save money on the legendary running costs was also quite interesting. It was one of those cars which I was pretty nonplused about when announced but I have to say it's grown massively on me.

I really enjoyed that video. I think I've mentioned before that I encountered Mark McCann's cars well before he appeared on Youtube - 15-odd years ago I saw a matte black new Aventador parked outside Wetherspoons in Bromsgrove which I discovered years later was his, and I used to regularly pass a nice farmhouse which had interesting cars on the drive which again I discovered was his. Never actually met him though I'm off to that Wetherspoons on Saturday for a bit of haggis.
He's not the most immediately likeable youtuber but he came across just like anyone else wanting to buy a car in this video - just with a slightly higher budget. I've finally subscribed.

Yeah, I was kind of the same about him, not sure what it was which initially put me off, but he just comes across as a real car nut who has clearly done well for himself and wants to share the experience.
This is the one where he's looking in to the running costs and the options out there now around using traditional tyres etc.

That makes more sense, the story I read said he was born in 87.
Don’t worry Dan - I’m sure the rest of us will also get a bit doddery when we reach your age.
I reckon companies house have his birth date wrong by a decade.
I'm 45 you know!

Enjoyed this for the random questions. Intially clicked because I knew what the answer to the headline would be ("All Alfa's except the Quadrifoglio" is one) but didn't expect an E30 to get dragged in, so @integrale_evo might want to weigh in there

This is both interesting and eye opening. It's a long one but worth watching if you like a bit of engineering and seeing what can go wrong. Strap in.

Owner of the R8 has a big thread over on PH as well:
Just reading the comment from the owner that if he just went with the OEM clutch it wouldn’t have cost him £30k in repairs. I do think there’s a case for going OEM+ - M539 does a sensible job of it. But beyond that unless you’re very mechanically inclined or doing the tinkering yourself it’s much more likely to go wrong.

Fascinating video.
We're only hearing one side of course, but from this account - the response from the clutch manufacturer appears rather dissapointing.
This vid did however transport me back > 30 years to when I didn't get round to sorting the whining gearbox bearing on my SuperStrada. It's slow collapse/self destruction eventually caused so much swarf in the 'box oil that the 1st gear synchro locked that gear onto the shaft. Which would have been inconvenient at any time, but particularly so when I was already doing 70(ish)mph on the M8 whilst in 5th gear. Split the gearbox casing, bent both driveshafts like bananas, destroyed 2 tyres (mahoosive flat spots). Gearbox was toast, but - silver lining - pulling it apart to see if anything could be recovered taught me loads about gearboxes.....
