The greens can’t win though, they either focus on the environment and are written off as an irrelevance or become a bigger party and get accused of cynically arguing against the cynical actions of the government for votes.

I don't think he's conman - I think he genuinely believes what he says (which I respect him for) but he says he's selling people hope when in reality he's selling a dream to the disillusioned that will never materialise.
Again, I know they all say things to win votes - non-shocker. But the greens have taken it to a new level. Ripping up our entire relationship with the USA to appeal to your voters? This just isn't reasonable.
