The greens can’t win though, they either focus on the environment and are written off as an irrelevance or become a bigger party and get accused of cynically arguing against the cynical actions of the government for votes.

Can you imagine, a political party trying to appeal to voters? Not in this day and age.
But so many of their policies are tied to the leader's fantasy vision for the planet. An idealistic world that just doesn't exist in reality.

I don't think he's conman - I think he genuinely believes what he says (which I respect him for) but he says he's selling people hope when in reality he's selling a dream to the disillusioned that will never materialise.

Again, I know they all say things to win votes - non-shocker. But the greens have taken it to a new level. Ripping up our entire relationship with the USA to appeal to your voters? This just isn't reasonable.

Why not? the USA is collapsing into a fascist failed state. I think some reevaluation is due tbh.

It isn't as simple as that, though. Our economies are deeply interlinked and the USA is our biggest trading partner. Ripping up or even re-evaluating our relationship could kill jobs, investment, GDP, and subsequent ability to pay for the public services that the Greens are keen to pour investment into.

This just isn't reality.

Not all Muslims are the same, the UAE can see that but for some reason the west don't see it. The evil people like the grooming gangs should've denounced by all. Not hidden to appease voters by councils. This is what's creating the problem in my opinion.

The divisions are brought about by cultural differences, not religious.

If my friend Adnan offered me his 12 year old daughter, I'd be shocked and fuming. When it's happened overseas, it's their normal. Do not be surprised when this isn't acceptable and it has nothing to do with whatever god people like.

Disagreeing with someone doesn't make them

That sounds like reasons to start now rather than wait for the collapse and try and sort it after tbh.

“That’s Iran’s POV, where’s America’s?” Is exactly the point right now, the US has not set terms, is not negotiating with the enemy, and is bringing us (UK), the French (CDG aircraft carrier steaming to east Mediterranean) into the next next ME disaster .. a war that we didn’t vote on and have no control of. I guarantee the Israeli conditions for surrender will be unconscionable to Western Europeans, and we (western powers) will end up killing more people in 6 months than the tyrannical regime achieved in years..
Cheers,

My sister picked a good weekend to visit her mate in Dubai! She's on her flight home now so I feel ok posting this. Was due to come back yesterday but got rebooked onto a flight that left this morning. She was having a great time at Yas Marina race track (an all you can eat and drink buffet with trackside views) at roughly the same time that the nearby US base was targeted. They kept it fairly low key in Dubai after that but she said the place was calm and almost business as usual, just a little quieter.

I've always sort of been in the "Why cut off our nose top spite our face" camp but given his recent behaviour, it seems apparent that Britain could concede and concede and concede but the very first time we don't want to do what he's demanding then BAM!!! 500% tariffs...

I'm inclined to tell him to GTF these days...

Kinda putting that aside on what Starmer did or didn’t do and looking at the state of the UK Navy. What the actual fvck happened there. We’ve had 2 years of the cunts telling us to get battle ready and the government did nothing themselves. Apparently we spend 50% more on the armed forces than Israel. They can wage war on 4 fronts year round but like everything else, the money here just disappears into a hole or something? I don’t think you can blame government for not spending enough money. It’s like the NHS and everything else. Double the budget and no improvement in outcomes?!

If it was anyone other than Mr Trump, you’d be astonished to think that anyone would treat their allies as enemies, but still expect them to treat you as an ally,…

Ships are very expensive and take a long time to build (5 - 6 years) then they have to undergo sea trials (another couple of years) and be officially signed off before entering service. It's not something you can throw a load of money at and expect a turnaround in a couple of years.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Exactly, we’re watching him embezzle his own economy. We should be trying to untangle ourselves from it before the house of cards comes down.

Very surprised that Clinton said he didn't see any sign of Trump doing anything untoward and that he had no reason to believe he did.

He could have said that he doesn't remember, considering that the Devil herself was spitting feathers in her hearing that's a bit of a surprise. I'm guessing he got a telling off from her for saying that 😂
