Wonder how much this supercharged one will go for? Unfortunately it's not the Corten Miller conversion reviewed in this so thirty less ponies:

You’re never going to be the fastest car on track, but 200bhp in a tweaked MX5 should be plenty quick enough to be entertaining, whilst being easy on all the consumables.

Wasn‘t this one about £6-7k? (six seeeeeven)

i know the £17k one has a lot more ponies and is a newer model, but £17k is proper money compared to £7k play car money.
what, what? AT ad seems to have gone, but yeah, this was a tempting one at £5-6k I think it was.

When I sold my supercharged mx5 I advertised it for £10995 and had very little interest and I think it eventually sold for 10k.

Modified mx5s are a weird market and this is a massive generalisation but most mx5 buyers don't know one end of a spark plug from the other and aren't interested in mechanical modifications. It was a great car to drive though but I prefered standard ones that you could rag to death and not be too worried about hitting big speeds in a short period of time. Perhaps I should have tracked it to appreciate it more

What John said - I miss the absolute necessity to be near the red line in exactly the right gear to make my mk1 MX5s shift, and mine's not even been modified for more power.

The owners' club for my area is more concerned about polishing than driving fast I think. So I have deliberately been driving mine round the dirty roads and not cleaning it recently  Avoiding salt of course.

I know what you mean abut the market, modified cars arent appreciate by the average mx5er, especially on a special edition. I was told that I had knocked half the value off the car. My last one was for sale for some time, I didn't have many enquires, but all were serious and I ended up getting what paid for the car (some man maths to overlook some of the cost of the mods).

That looks cool, I also owned a silver prht which was a great car, but they really did improve these with the ND, 2019 on especially. I agree that pushing a standard one is a lot of fun, I have been very close to buying another, with a 6 year warranty and upgraded tech. But having already owned a super 220 is the only reason I dont have a 5th mx5 sat on the drive right now.

6x4 F350 based camper. Do a cummins or powerstroke conversion and it’d be a beast.

Maybe with this mod (or find one that's had it done), but the purple is lovely!

I’ve been good this year, can I have this for christmas please Santa?
https://ebay.us/m/AUS0A5

For me it’s probably my favourite version of my favourite 90s race car (although it’s extremely close with the 1994 Alfa 155 btcc cars )

It’s a 4 door, has the m3 bumpers and mirrors, the homologated aero they were allowed to use in the second half of the season. It’s the version that won BMWs first race that year, at the British gp support race, it wears the number 1 from winning the championship the previous year, and it’s still using a 2litre version of the e30 M3 S14 engine.
