Today’s want
Re: Today’s want
Like that. What a surprise - big expensive house, tastefully done, in presumably a rather nice area, with a glass wall to the garage*.

Re: Today’s want
So it’s effectively a single-garage property, and that’s a “display” garage?
I think I’d make the ground floor all garage, and use the upstairs as an office.

Re: Today’s want
Ive been without the 550 effectively since he sale was agreed mid sept, really starting to miss going for a drive now as the other cars in the house are white goods.
Just looking at the merc on their site, what a waste its almost like looking at a time capsule to 2010!

Agree. It does indeed look immaculate, but having averaged 100 miles a year since new, you're not going to buy it and put 10k PA on it are you?

"A rare opportunity to experience a W212 as it left the showroom."
Yeah because that was such a rarefied and exclusive experience back in the day. The utter pish some of these dealers talk, it's a fucking 15 year old E-class with a big engine mate, get over yourself.

Im a big fan of the rx8 and Mazdas in general, would be tempted by Ione of these just for the revs and a late R3 as they are slightly less problematic that the others.
Re: Today’s want
No more seal or injector issues, insurance can be cheaper for modified cars too, perfect.
Re: Today’s want
I think it's still cheap enough to. Compare it to other V8 luxo barges with that mileage.mik wrote: Thu Nov 27, 2025 11:05 amhttps://www.edward-hall.co.uk/sales/2010-mercedes-e550MikeHunt wrote: Thu Nov 27, 2025 10:58 am

Back on topic - ScottA sent me the link to this - feels like a lot of car for £17k (haggling).

Wasn‘t this one about £6-7k? (six seeeeeven)mik wrote: Sun Oct 05, 2025 11:02 pm ScottA and I have discussed several times that one of these would make an interesting track toy.
You’re never going to be the fastest car on track, but 200bhp in a tweaked MX5 should be plenty quick enough to be entertaining, whilst being easy on all the consumables.

i know the £17k one has a lot more ponies and is a newer model, but £17k is proper money compared to £7k play car money.
Re: Today’s want
Yes to all of that. And the black cat looks way too clean to just purchase as a track toy.Rich B wrote: Sat Nov 29, 2025 10:32 am Wasn‘t this one about £6-7k? (six seeeeeven)

Wonder how much this supercharged one will go for? Unfortunately it's not the Corten Miller conversion reviewed in this so thirty less ponies:
