They're just too slow compared to the amount you spend on petrol. Not to mention the hassle factor with not being able to start/stop them down whenever you want.MikeHunt wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:47 pm https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-detail ... 1218050608
Im a big fan of the rx8 and Mazdas in general, would be tempted by Ione of these just for the revs and a late R3 as they are slightly less problematic that the others.
I really liked the handling on mrs mik's RX8, and R3 is nicer, but agree with Rich wrt the fuel consumption vs pace. Drive-by-wire is doing funny things under your nose, so I got 23mpg when driving it hard, and 24mpg when driving like miss daisy.Rich B wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:53 pmThey're just too slow compared to the amount you spend on petrol. Slow, heavy, not great to drive, terrible MPG, terrible road tax and some of the jobs are expensive to do like belts. Can imagine (being Alfa) many parts are hard to get now too. But they look great even now.MikeHunt wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 6:31 pm This got me thinking of the Brera, I remember sitting in a new one at the Dudley dealership. It still looks great and I’d have a Q4 over the pro drive or a similar engined GT, even though both are better drivers cars.
Also has the same £760 road tax![]()

Nope, i wouldn’t ever buy that beautiful house even if i could afford it because of the mansion tax….Matty wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 8:13 pm Not a car - but this is stunning. Wondering if the Fezza is included in the price of the house?
