Re: The Cats are good too thread
Cats giving birth usually eat the placenta. She didn’t with any of the first three last June, nor the first this morning. She did with the second today and frankly it made a right bloody mess, so I’m quite happy if she decides not to do so with any more and I’ll just cut the cord and dispose of them

Pleased to find little Jimbo has a racing stripe. On his (or her) underside, so might be prone to rolling over.

Re: The Cats are good too thread
Ooh, I am looking after my neighbours cat for a week at the end of next week.
I am looking forward to this.

Probably not a figure I should admit to in public, but 13.

Oh yes, we aren't professional breeders. We just had another litter from our munchkin because if we'd wanted to buy these three new borns, it would have cost about £7,500DeskJockey wrote: Fri Mar 11, 2022 5:58 pm![]()

Munchkin kittens are really rare in the U.K. Having said that, there seem to be a few advertised for under £1000 but I’d be suspicious that they are scams.

Pet costs is something I've yet to grasp, but sounds costly!

I should probably share some more kitten photos:

Re: The Cats are good too thread
I hope anyone considering getting a cat will look at getting a rescue. Always loads of wee guys waiting to find a home.
An absolute unit

You’ll be pleased to know we have a few rescues, Zed.

Old Ginger George had a stroke a couple of months ago, he has had a few accidents getting into the litter tray so we made a low one, plus he can’t do stairs so just stays in Treina’s office.
He still eats and drinks, will take fuss and meows for food but he hasn’t many months/weeks left.
Giant Ginger George, awesome cat, 8.5kg Rottweiler assassin.
