I was thinking we have only had 3 cars with back doors, all blue BMWs, then I remembered the lancia
Still never had a diesel in the household…

A technicality - you paid company car tax for it because it was yours, I assume. Your protestations are weak
Typical law monger, cutting out the clear comment in my post to try and save face - “as in my name on the V5”
Registered keeper does not mean owner, as stated on the V5C; your clear comment contradicted itself. Are you Boris Johnson?
I've found some more details of the differences between S160s on PH:
"First, is it a Sport 160 or a Sport 160S. There is a difference, the former having 111s seats, victory ally's and the 160 engine, an LS can and a few other bits n bobs (spoiler fared in headlights etc).
The latter has all the above, plus LSS (running at 100/110), ARB, oil cooler and lightweight seats with alcantara inserts. Also most cars have the 2nd airbox removed and are de-catted to liberate the full 160 ponies (or thereabouts). Mine was RR'd last year at 158 which I think is pretty good. The 160S is also rarer, was more expensive and commands a premium on the used market of around £500-1k I'd say due to the above."
https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/top ... 5&t=193169 - from 2005 so ignore the values.
In an extremely uninteresting 'fact' - the person who wrote that was the person who bought my S160. I don't know why I felt the need to point that out, in all honesty.

The victory alloys are well renowned in lotus circles as the tarts choice. By far the heaviest factory wheels. AWI wheels are much lighter. Which of course were the wheels I had on mine
Did you have Rotas on at some point too or am I imagining that?
I've got TMRs and AWIs, the TMRs are lighter obvs.
Revolution TC5s have recently come out in S1 sizes which I think could look quite nice, are not that expensive, and are reasonably light. I need to not buy those, and not have three sets of wheels.
The previous owner had a set of compomtives on it but sold it with the AWI’s. I only ever had the AWI’s.
I’m sure I did post pictures of it on the comps however so your memory serves you right.

I did message him to see if he still had the wheels. Had already sold them. I believe that once again they are quite heavy.
Eliseparts used to sell a similar style wheel.
ETA - these.

Compomotives are even heavier than victories sadly, as they look excellent.

Pick the car up, go and get acquainted with it in the Highlands, what could be better?

Just do what I did when I bought mine from Scotland - chat to the owner and get more pictures, speak to the garages who've serviced it in the past to get a bit on the background and/or ask to get it inspected locally.....if it all checks out, book a train ticket and pick it up.

Has this been linked before?
Looks very clean, nice color, and Honda in budget! Edit - and a bit closer to home

Edit - here's one of Dan's too (at least, rebuilt by him) and a much nicer red than the flat red.

i don’t love the colour, but it looks pretty well sorted.

Just the 4 hour drive from here!
But if you got a flight to Inverness I would be more than happy to give you a lift to Ellon.
(Realises its literally 10 minutes from Aberdeen airport)

TBH, if you want a Honda, that has a lot of desirable bits on it.
